KRC Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Can anyone recommend any decent ambience music?Im currently using Silent hill 2's Heavens Night and Final Fantasy VII World Map.
KRC Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 Can't stand Call Of Duty games, but thanks for the reply, Im looking for something dramatic, soft and dark to go with my setup.
Draco1962 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 The Main theme to Skyrim is pretty good. The theme from A Game of Thrones is likewise. Hard to suggest as I don't know what theme you are trying to supplement with your setup.
KRC Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 @Draco1962,Im using your Brokeh Theme as I think it's great and it suits what I want. Im also using your icon pack.
Draco1962 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I am a big fan of about any music produced or involving Lindsey Stirling. The girl is phenomenal and is an expert violinist. Her Zelda Medley is great as is the Skyrim theme with Peter Hollens - as they advertise at the beginning of the You Tube video, 1 voice, 1 violin, and 121 tracks.
KRC Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 I never really thought about using something like that, I'll take a look. When I personally look around for decent ambience to go with my GameEx setupI always look for 8bit or 16bit music and j-rpg music, I would never give the info that you gave above a second glance.
Draco1962 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Ambiance is a personal choice. A lot depends on your tastes or mood at the time. I tend to like a nice 80's rock & pop compilation when I am in an arcade mood, and then more towards a compilation of vocals and strings when in a D&D or similar RPG game mood.
djour Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I'm not sure how dark you want to go, but Danny Elfman is great at music that sets a mood. He did the entire soundtrack for the new Dark Shadows movie. 22 tracks of dark to choose from.
