Ive run into a problem, ive set my Global Escape Key Combo and when i test it , it doesnt work correctly, i set my escape key to A and BACK buttons on my 360 pad, but when i press the A button on its own it still exits without even pressing the BACK button on the 360 pad.

To summarize its exiting on a single button press and not a combo, even though a combo key exit is enabled and setup in the input settings wizard is done.

I've also had some problems with this. Except I didn't have the escape key in that combination. I set my key combo and it just doesn't work at all.

I've just figured something out Aswell, whatever is the first button in my global exit combo is the only button that will exit the emulator

You might want to take a look here as this might be of help. We might need to know a little more, like is this happening across all emulators or a select few, things like that.

It happens across all emulators that are configured within GameEx, i got another desktop pc yesterday and yesterday also became a donating member to get full access to GameEx, ever since then the global exit doesnt work properly. Ive tried different combos for the global exit but nothing changes. what happens when i use global exit in the wizard is that when I setup the first button in the input global setting, that button only becomes the sole global exit key. I have attached an image.

ok, lve been trying to figure this out, but still nothing. ive noticed something though,

If for example i set my global exit key to D1|D2|S which would be Back,Start,A on my 360 pad, when pressed all together the global exit combo doesnt work,But if i press them seperately in order the emulator will exit back to GameEx.

Also, another thing is happening, for some reason my RT on my 360 pad which is mapped to L on my keyboard when pressed is bringing up a GameEx in game menu which has only recently started happening,

I've resolved the in game menu popup problem, what it was is the default key was L for the in game menu and my RT on Xbox 360 pad was also L, I just changed it to another key.

Still haven't figured out the global exit problem.

This might be because you are using an advanced emulator config. If I recall the settings in that overide the global setting. Id also try mapping the gamepad directly rather than the keys. I think its that which is complicating things.

@Tom

I've never used an advanced emulator config(never even opened the program).

If I setup advanced emulator config, does it have to be done to each system individually and am I able to map exit keys only.

Since we do not have a copy of your gameex.ini file or log.txt file, we can only make some guesses. Please attach them in your next reply within this thread. Also, let us know if you are using any 3rd-party software to manager your gamepads (i.e. Joy-to-Key, Xpadder, etc.).

I have attached the files as advised. I changed the j2k cfg to txt file due to restriction on uploading original.

I think ive cracked it, i disabled global escape and created an advanced config, added it to sg-1000 advanced emu cfg and tested on sg-1000 and it escapes to GamEx only when all escape keys are pressed at the same time.

Even though Im using this method, I would appreciate it if someone would look at my files above and find out why global escape wasnt working correctly.

After the 12.60 update my global escape combo is now working, so this topic is resolved.
