Hello and welcome to the forums! The problem seems to be that the loader is being used instead of daphne. Change DaphneLoader.exe to Daphne.exe and then report back please! This setting is called Daphne EXE which is located in the Daphne section of Setup Wizard.

Frequency that did it...Thanks alot...funny thing is when i changed it through advanced config, to daphne.exe in there, it kept going back to daphneloader.exe after i loaded the game...So i though it was a default that i could not change.. Maybe it is a program Fault in gameex not sure...So does that mean all changes should be made through the wizard program?

Thanks Alot for this info..funny it all worked before gameex updated to the new one..12.56.every thing changed and i had to redo all my games emulators again..but i know to to do it fast as i have done it many times after power spikes in my town..it's a small town that has 128 degree weather during the summer and everybody uses there air..Lol..and yes i have a spike protector connected to my mame cab..

I was going to go bald by pulling my hair out.. So yes this is RESOLVED but i don't know how to make it say it on this forum..

How were you making changes before? Also with updates, your config is backed up so in case something goes wrong, you're able to restore your settings so you can avoid starting over. Oh oh. Don't go bald cuz then you'll look like me. LOL.

edit: I just noticed you were using advanced config. Advanced config is no longer used or supported. So to make changes to your settings, Setup Wizard is the way to go.

Posted

To address fReqEnCy's advice, definitely get used to using the Setup Wizard. As he noted, Advanced Config is no longer supported and new fixes and features are being added to the wizard often thanks to tireless work by our own Headkaze.

Draco1962,

Thats for sure.using the wizard is way better

..did you read my last post as to which folder or file to save after i get all my daphne games in gameex? to save so i dont have to get all the comand lines from daphne again aarrrggg..

Posted

I use the Daphneloader.exe per the pdf instructions to setup all of my laserdisc games, substituting the paths for the appropriate ROM names for each game. You have to make sure you do the setup via the Daphne loader first for each game and initial game launch outside of GameEx to ensure that each game receives the proper updates and to obtain the options in the command line box referenced. You shouldn't have to worry about re-entering the command lines again if you have entered them properly and save the configurations by next-arrow to the path verification page in the Setup Wizard.

I am quoting your MAME question and setting up as a separate thread for answering the question since not really a part of the Daphne questions you had here.
