Hey, everyone. I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out... whenever I try running a non-MAME emulator using the config files posted on this forum, I see a little flash of black, a tiny bit of the loaded game ... and then I immediately go back to GameEx. Any ideas?

I'm running the most current versions of FCEUltra and Gens.

No luck on any of 'em.

When I run them under debug mode, I see the command to launch the game, followed after that by PAUSE and then "Press Any Key To Continue..." I'm also running WinXP Pro. For what that's worth, anyway.

Thanks for your help, guys.

If you could post your configs, I could compare with mine - I'm using the same emulators (latest versions) and WinXP pro and they're working for me. Though I also got my configs from the uploads, so I may not be any help.

Here's my INI. Maybe you can see something that I've overlooked.

-Edit: Great. After updating to version 3.45, SNES Roms are doing the same thing with the default ZSNES settings preset in the program. Giving the same command line, flash of the emulator, PAUSE, and "Press any key to continue..."

Sorry getting back to you so late. I couldn't see anything I thought would cause problems. The only differences I could see that I have are none of my roms are in zip files, and for SNES and Genesis, I've got showdesktop set as true, but from memory I don't think that caused problems for me having it as false. Sorry I can't be any help, but was worth a try anyway. I've attached my ini file if you want to check it out. I guess if you haven't done so already, you could just try different combinations of unzipped/zipped and fullscreen/windowed (in emulator and gameex). I'm sure GameEx worked for me from the start without changing anything special for WinXP, so not sure what else to say sorry mate.

The "PAUSE" and "press any key to continue" will not show up if you set "Debug=false" but don't think that would cause it to not work - it's just so you can see what the "Command=" line is doing. I have my Gens one currently set to true and its still working no problems.

Ahh, gotcha. I'll try your setup and see what happens. As for the Showdesktop, I've tried both ways. Hmm. Maybe at this point I start blaming gremlins, the moon phases, solar flares, and the political party I oppose. :)
