This forum was so helpful with SSF. I need some help with Demul to run Naomi roms. I have Demul 0.5.6. I downloaded the dll files and put them all in the plugins folder. I have the roms in Winzip format in a roms folder. I have the configuration pointed to those locations. The gpaddemul.dll (spelling may be wrong) will not load stating it is incompatible. I have Daemon Lite on my PC running Windows XP, but I do not even know if that is needed to run it. This is a Noob question that I am having trouble to even start the program and load the roms correctly or unzip the roms then run them. I am lost on this one on how to get it to work outside Gameex or inside Gameex. Thanks for the help.

I'm unsure about that dll as it's not one I'm aware of that comes with the emulator. I don't get why you needed to download the dll files either as they come packaged with the emulator. The command-line looks fine. Daemon tools lite is not required in this setup as you're wanting to run the Naomi roms which should remain zipped. What are the results when running the emulator through the gui?

Ok. I am more confused than ever now. I know this is a pain for you and frustrating, but can you tell me what file go where? I tried to run it through gameex, and I get to the Demul screen and it will not load. Also should I setup a separate demul to run Atomiswave? Any help is appreciated.

Did you ever get it to run outside of GameEx? Please refer to this link and answer the questions that are asked in your thread here. The key objective for you right now is to get this running on its own, then we can help address any issues you may run into when running through GameEx.

You may also want to familiarize yourself with the Links to Emulators, Suggested Command Lines, and Map Files that many of our forum regulars have contributed and especially the section that is regularly updated by fRequEnCy.

Just download the emulator and extract to your location. All files to run should be included besides roms of course. Roms can be in any location. Then setup emulator and point to roms. Then run game. Let's get it started outside of GameEx first and then go from there. As far as setting up as separate for atomiswave, it's probably best to since command-line will change for those roms. Different ways of going about that as far as how you wanna list your systems.

I know it has been awhile, but I was able to get Demul working outside of Gameex. I also have it working in Gameex as well, but it has lag. Is there a workaround for that and to make it open up as a fullscreen instead of windowed?

In Demul:

  • Click Config
  • Click Video
  • Check Use Fullscreen
  • Click OK

As for lag, am unable to help there as I don't run this emulator.

Thank you very much for your help. That worked for the full screen issues. It may be my processor is not fast enough to run it smoothly through gameex.
