[BUG] StartPageAni=False but animation still plays

Chazz and I have both encountered this where we are attempting to disable the Start Page Animation. I have confirmed that StartPageAni=False but animation still plays. This is not a theme-dependent setting so must be a bug unless there is another setting that is jacking it up.

Also, skipintro=False is still showing the intro

StartPageAni has nothing to do with the intro. If I set Skip Intro within the setup wizard it works as expected for me with the default theme and with resume last list turned off.

The actual ini setting may be skipintro, if so it would need to be set to true to skip the intro.

This video is with SkipIntro=False, this shows the GameEx Logo zoom in, but you can also see the other images also zoom in. With this setting the StartBak_Foreground is working

This video is with SkipIntro=True, which does not show the GameEx Logo, and the other images do not zoom in, but I don't have the StartBak_Foreground image

This seems to only be happening on the Start page, all other pages seem to be showing their _Foreground images fine.

I think (and I could be wrong, which is often) that the StartPageAni=False is for the effect that makes the background flow back and forth, and nothing to do with the images zooming in.

Just noticed that if I go into a Sub Menu and come back to the Start screen the StartBak_Foreground shows, but it also goes back to zooming the images as seen in the first video.

Hi Chazz.

If I remember correctly StgartPageAni should have no effect for your theme. That setting is for version 3 themes only and just effects the bubble effect when selecting menu items and it is not supposed to take effect with that new menu style you are using anyway. Is it deffinitly that setting that is cuasing the difference because it should not? The image zooming in is always supposed to happen when on a start page main or start page sub menu. The fade you are seeing is not a feature but a side effect of some sort.

The setting for the background flowing back and forth should be anibak.

So it sounds like you need a new feature for fade instead of zoom, and there is an initial bug with skip intro not showing the foreground and a side effect with a fade instead of a zoom. Correct?

Ill look at adding it as a feature. Otherwise it looks like a bug that I will fix.
