Everything worked fine, error occurred after reboot. Gameex crashed immediately after loading window. Tried to change theme - without result.

Well something's not initiaizing for you or you missed a path during setup. What's happening is GameEx is supposed to run a test loop. Only Tom knows what ag.ad() does for sure, but I'd guess it's got something to do with drawing to the screen. :)

Did you try and run the check at the end of Headkaze's Setup Wizard and see if it finds anything?

could this be some problem with the sound ? recently I changed some settings in jukebox? but im not sure...

I should have mentioned that (I looked it up before I responded). :)

@eckimo: Can I see your theme.ini for this: theme=Leon GameEx

Also, if you could please try the default theme for me and see if you have the same issues. Please also disable GameBase support so we can get rid of that error. :)

I disable GameBase support and put default theme - no results. About Primary sound driver I have no information. Very sorry for my english - sometimes misunderstood some sentences. Very much hope for your help.

From what I am able to determine that is something not quite right with the Direct X drivers. You may want to download the latest available for XP SP3 and install again.

I have NVidia GF 8500GT. Just installed the new driver but nothing has changed. How can I correctly reset all settings to default, but keep the a copy of my settings. Maybe reinstall Gameex help me ? Does it make sense to ?

Let's not get too hasty about reinstalling GameEx! We may be able to help you resolve the issue and that should be a last resort. Check your display driver through Device Manager for the version number.

The latest driver (from nVidia - not Microsoft!) is GeForce 295.73. If your latest driver version is 290.xx (beta) or 285.xx (stable releases, but very problematic) then you need to download the newest from the link I provided and install.

For the DirectX drivers, the latest supported version for XP SP3 is DirectX 9.0c. Please make sure that you have this version installed.

What about video driver it is the one that I need, but directx try to install on your link, I hope this time luck will come.

Your driver link is to the latest version, just Russian translation. The link you provided for DirectX is good. One other thing to be certain of is that you have the .net frameworks installed. Was your XP install from a standard install disk or a stripped down version of XP (i.e. nlite or similar)?

I think it's Tom's texture drawing class but no one knows for sure but him.

I honestly think this is related to artwork somehow.
