Hello

I've setup gameEx to launch my PC games and it works except for that game.

To note to start the game you need CD ROM but when I launch it from gameEx it show me the game launcher then or before I load the CD I press start the game and then go back to gameEx.

Any advices ?

There could be a couple things going on here.

You probably have to either ISO that disc and use the DT Lite command, or set it up as an emulator and have GameEx check for the CD. Also, does it pop up a window on ya before the game starts? I'm not familiar with this game at all, so I'm flying blind here.

Maybe an advanced config is required to look for the process of the game itself and not the launcher. Hence why it returns back to GameEx. Stuff like this is hard to troubleshoot as this is not emulator related and some of us may not have that particular game.

Yeah the launcher works !! Thanks

Next step will be to launch iso file just before !! I'd like to do it using using a bat file I can load from my PC GAME directory witch one is setup up within gameEx to launch my PC GAMES.

If anyone could help me teaching how to set it up.

Hi,

I know this is an old post, but I'm having trouble getting this working. I copied Headkaze's loader into the folder where hod3pc.exe is located. When I run the loader from GameEx, all I get is a black screen for a few seconds, then it goes back to GameEx. If I run the loader outside of GameEx, nothing happens, but if I then double click on hod3pc.exe, the game runs (usually if you try to run hod3pc.exe, you get a message that it only runs through the loader, so part of it seems to be working). I've tried running the loader, then hod3pc.exe in GameEx config, but I still just get a black screen back to GameEx. I am using Win7 64bit, and I own the CD and am using the "No Cd" hod3pc.exe. Any help would be appreciated!

Jombee - I know you didn't just bump your own post in the thread in less than 24 hours! You know it is Christmas holiday and some that may be inclined to help are probably not going to respond right away as they are out with familiy and friends, right? B)

I wasn't trying to bump anything, I was trying to edit my post to say that I figured most of it out. I was not aware that anything was posted, sorry.

Headkaze's loader needs to be in the main program folder, not the folder with the hotd3pc.exe in it (which is the "exe" folder). The only problem now is when the game exits and goes back to GameEx, the game does not properly close/end, it is actually minimized and still running in the background. If you try to run it again, you get a message saying "the game is already running, etc".

An advanced config would remedy that. Just set it to look for the correct processes, and then have it close by the game's default so it will close correctly.

Hi Frequency, thanks for your reply!

The games only default to exit (other than through the game menu's), would be Alt + F4. You then need to select "Yes", then the game closes. I tried sending keys Alt+F4 after, but that didn't seem to work.

How would you suggest I handle this?
