Since GameEx is now a DLNA client capable of reading servers like Serviio, I figured this would be somewhat on topic for this forum...

So I've been using Serviio for various things around the house, and it works pretty good. However I'm having some difficulties with it that I hope somebody here might be able to help me with. You guys are great for this sort of thing, since we're all a bunch of hobbyists and all.

Here's my problem; Serviio creates a temporary file when it is transcoding. This is normal behavior. However, sometimes this temporary file doesn't erase when the file is finished being used. In fact, I can kinda get an idea of when it's not doing it because all of a sudden nothing will work on it. None of the files will play. When I load up the folder in Explorer though, lo and behold there are like 15 files in there, each averaging 6gb in filesize each. When that happens, the drive becomes full, and I can't transcode anything else, thus causing the media Serviio is hosting to no longer work.

Question... Is there anyway that anybody knows of to help me get these temporary files deleted automatically? I was thinking about setting up a scheduled task to just delete everything in the temporary folder at like 1am, when nobody would be using it. Trouble is, I have no idea how to configure it to do that. Also, WOULD this work? Any suggestions?

It is actually pretty easy to setup. What OS are you using? If using Win 7, check this out for creating the initial task schedule. I would think that you should be able to create a simple batch file that will delete the files in the location of your choosing to be run by the schedule task manager.

A simple command would be DEL C:\Serviio\Temp\*.xxx (or whatever the full path is to the temp files you wish to delete.
