[RESOLVED] Removing the "by category" option

Hey, I would like to remove this option but keep the options that allow you to sort games by their year and manufacturer. Furthermore, I need to be able to keep my current theme which is Future Retro.

Is this possible? I'm thinking it may be possible through the theme editor however I can't figure out how to use it properly and I'm running out of free time. I would be willing to pay somebody to do it for me if anybody is interested? (For the right price of cause ) If not, but you know how and feel it's fairly straight forward, please give me instructions.

I am not aware of how you would do that, Dan. This would be a feature/enhancement request.

Ok, thanks mate.

The reason being is I have been trying to perfect my set-up and the current catver is not to my liking tbh, and so, I have removed the categories in till I can create a new one but that will likely not be for a LONG time from now.

Errm, yeah. I think I may remove the whole section (something I think I will be able to figure out myself) but also post in the feature request section in case Tom will implement this feature.

Under Display settings you can send the mode to "Simple" which will disable the horizontal menu in v3 and v4 themes.

Tom - will that disable all items in the Horizontal menus and how will that impact the new views you have created?

I have not tested it with the new views but yes it will disable it completely.

Ok, cheers. I would prefer to be able to disable specific lines however and not the whole thing, is this something you may implement in the future? I will post in the feature request section now anyway, to see if anybody else agrees. Many thanks again.

Yeah I just tried that myself with custom menus and it disabled all of them except my first menu items.
