Hi Folks !

I've running into some trouble using the Theme Editor.

I'm building a new theme, wich basicaly will use two custom layouts.

One for all the emulators, and one for the other GameEx sections, like music, videos, pictures etc.

The problem is, when I mark in the theme editor the option "Custom Emulator Layouts" or the option "Custom Module Layouts" GameEx starts messed up.

So, If for example, if I mark "Custom Emulator Layouts" the emulator section (snes in the case) became all messed up.

But as soon I uncheck it, the layout return to its normal behavior.

The same happens with I check the option "Custom Module Layouts" , the start page, even after I adjust it in theme editor, cames all messed up within GameEx.

I've saw that theme editor create in the theme directory lots of *.ini files, when I check those options. each ini file is for a section within GameEx, and I've checked the files and theme editor, and the coordinates are equal. So theme editor saves the ini files correctly.

Anybody can help ? :D

Thanks in advance!

Attached some screenshots.

I would recommend that you zip your theme.ini file(s) along with some of your custom screen images and upload them here so we can take a closer look. To be honest, I have not played much with custom module layouts so will probably need to enlist the help of some of the "big guns" (Tom and Headkaze) to assist.

Again - copies of your theme.ini after you make the changes will be needed for testing.

I will post it tonight.

Didn't have time to do what Draco asked yesterday.

But Myghalloween reproduced the issue perfectly. :)

I will do that and post the ini files.

Thanks again !

This time I used Custom Lay-Outs for the emulators only.

So the start page displays well. But my emulator (Super Nintendo) doesn`t.

Here comes my files :

My GameEx.INI file : GameEx.zip

My Super Nintendo Custom LayOut INI File : Nintendo SNES.zip

This is the ORIGINAL "Theme.ini" file : Theme - Original.zip

This is the one with these configs :

This is the MODIFIED "Theme.ini" file : Theme.zip

I hope this helps Tom to solve this problem.

I'm doing a hard work with this theme, and changing the home layout will ruin it ! :(

So please, any help will be very appreciated!

Thanks for the help Draco and Myghalloween ! :D

Please be patient! There may be some more pressing issues on Tom's plate at this time. Keep in mind - this is a hobby for him as well. He has as much right to enjoy holiday and time away from this as the rest of us if not more.

Can you confirm, resizing the GameEx window clears the issue. Just wanted to make sure I understood that correctly.

Hello Tom,

the problem is partly but not completely resolved.

When I check "Custom layouts modul",GameEx in windowed mode works best because it is now possible to change the position of an element in the module without changing the others, but it is always necessary to resize the windows to each new page (each input or output in a module).

By cons in Full Screen mode, nothing changes.

Sorry I am having trouble understanding this topic. Are you referring to GameEx now or the theme editor?

Excuse my bad english.

I'm referring two. When I check "Custom layouts modul" in theme editor and save, so, I run GameEx and have troubles

Please replace GameEx.exe with the attached. I think it will fix the problem. Let me know.

I replace this and have error :
