Since you can change the view on a per system basis, then the answer would be yes. Once you select the emulator, you can then have the emulator display the standard list view, static or video snaps views. This would require either a very basic theme background throughout, or several different layouts depending upon the subject matter.

Looking cool mate. Just one minor suggestion.. if you change the menu item and it's video is the same as the last item it would be nice to not reload it but leave the previous one.
