Unpacking 3D Cabinets

I'm new to Gameex and, in fact, I'm just beginning to explore the Mame/emulator frontend world, so I'll probably have lots of questions, please bear with me.

In setting up the Mame options I downloaded and unpacked the 3D cabinets to a folder where they unpacked into a series of subfolders by cabinet. Yet when I run a config verify it says it cannot find the models. The error is a bit confusing because it clearly states '3D Cabinet Path (*.*):", which seems to imply that it should search subfolders. Moving the files out of the subfolders allows them to be found but this seems, well, messy. How are the 3D cabinets supposed to be unpacked?

For my system, I have the path set under MAME as E:\Assets\MAME\3D Cabs and each cab has its own folder named the same as the ROM file. Each folder contains the multiple files required by GameEx to "construct" and display the 3D cab. Make sure that you have the actual path setup within the MAME section of the setup wizard.

I can confirm that those 3D models work. When Tom posted the link to them I remembered I haven't set mine up yet. So I downloaded them. I created a folder under MAME called 3D-CABINETS, extracted the file into that folder, then pointed GameEx to that folder under the option for "3D Cabinet Path". Those games that have the 3D cabinet show up flawlessly when GameEx is running. :)
