[BUG] Box Art and Snaps not showing...sometimes

This is rather strange how this is working. On a few (not all) of my emulators the Box Art and Snaps do not show up in Image1 and Image2, In the All Emulator list and the specific emulator list...BUT, if I click on the game to play and it gives me the menu of Play This Game, Title, Box, ect.. as I scroll down to the image options, it shows the images.

So what it comes down to, is that the Art is connected and can be viewed in the last menu before playing the game, but not in any other menus.

I've also tried this with multiple skins, and also manually relinked the Art in the Advanced Config, so that doesn't seem to be the reason.

Any thoughts?

Are you encountering this on the primary menu where the emu resides as well as within the menu for the system? Does it seem like it is "stuck" trying to load the logos, but when you go into a specific game and come back out, the logos appear (same sometimes if you go in and out of system menus).

If yes to any or all, then I have been encountering the same or similar issue as of late.I have tried the default-default skin as well as others and end up with the same results. At first I thought it may be something with Custom Menus, but even upon using the GameEx defaults, rebooting the PC, etc, I get the same results. All DirectX drivers and .net frameworks up-to-date, no changes in video drivers or anything else I can think of that may contribute. I have a Quad 4 system with 8GB RAM and a current video card so the common rule-outs have been ruled out.

No nothing is slowed down, it doesn't seem like it's lagging anywhere or stuck. But in the menus except the specific game menu, No images.

May still be part of the same issue - sometimes I can continue to navigate away or deeper into the menu (unless the dbs are loading) elsewhere and when I come back, the image is there when it wasn't before.

Alright, it happened to be because I had video and images in the Snap folder. Once I deleted the videos from the folder, the images showed up...Is there a correct way to do Video Snaps for emulators(non mame) that I looked over?

At present, we have to store video snaps ini the same folder with static snaps. This should not occur and appears to be a bug if not displaying correctly. I would ask you to try deleting your cache files but I have done so myself and that appears to have little bearing on the issue recurring.

Having the same problem as before, I have video and snaps in different folders, but when I have video snaps setting linked to a folder, any game/rom that has a video does not show any artwork.

Gotta be the codec... does a video play outside of GameEx if you load it in wmp?

Don't think I've ever touched wmp, I only use VLC but for the most part XBMC, this is mostly a HTPC and all my other computers are MACs so I never bother with Win Media Player.

I think GameEx uses wmp to handle the media. Or not. I need an assist from a vlc user.
