Hello everyone!:)

I'm very grateful to Tom for this new feature (I mean, as the title say, the two side-by-side page view), because it's something I have ever wished to have, but I'm not entirely satisfied. The risk here is that I could seem an authentic hassle, but all I want to do is to openly discuss this topic and hear your opinions.

Did you notice the gap between the pages in this new feature? I noticed this affects only vertical pages. It would be better to have two pages displayed side-by-side but without the gap between them. So magazines and comic books that share the same image or picture partly in a page and partly in the other could be viewed entirely. And e-books in general will be more similar to real books.

What do you think? Do you agree?

Cheers,

Alpha

I agree it would look better. If I understand what you are saying, you would prefer to see the Left Image right-justified and the Right Image left-justified so that they will come together at the margins in the middle. At present, it appears that the images are center-justified.

It may be possible but much depends on the flexibility of the program Tom is using to render these images. If the images are not scanned well, there is always the possibility that there may be some gap showing.

I figured you were just running the program twice and having them run in half screen. Thats good news Tom! Thanks!

Well, I don't know how to make my idea understandable, maybe a couple of images can help.

I took two snaps from page 9 and 10 of my Rome - Total War manual. These two pages are separate, I mean they are two scans. In fact, in the single page view, you first see page 9 as follows:

Page09.jpg

then, you see the next page as follows:

Page10.jpg

Now, in the two pages side-by-side view, I would like to see them as follows:

Snap004.jpg

Do you see? There is no space, no gap between the right margin of the left page and the left margin of the right page: they are practically "attached". This makes the pages as they are in real printed document.

Hope I made it clear.

Thanks Tom for listening to my suggestions and for realizing them!

Cheers,

Alpha.

Correct you are. You illustrated perfectly about justification of the image. If an image or text is "left-justified" then the image will be moved to the left of center to its margin, "right-justified" towards the right margin. Currently, the images are side-by-side, but both are "centered" within their individual margins. This is what causes the "gap" between them that you see.

Perfect! Now that the concept is clear and Tom already said that he'll do this for the next release, we have just to wait!

Thanks again, Tom!

I think (not positive though) you need to press up or down arrow keys. Can someone confirm?

I am marking this one as gloriously [RESOLVED]! 12.15 page justification on the two page view looks really nice!:)
