I found this article on ExtremeTech.com to be very interesting and thought it may be useful to those wanting to run Android apps on their Windows PCs. I have included a PDF for the same article if you want to have offline instructions available.

Additionally, there is another program that should be released soon called Bluestacks that is not free, but looks promising for running a seamless application on the PC using a hypervisor (really a fancy word for a localised application-specific virtual machine). It will not be free, but may be less painful to setup and maintain than steps using the Android SDK as noted in the ExtremeTech article.

Thanks Drac. I've got the SDK and have been playing around with it. This will be cool for testing stuff instead of copying it over to the phone. If anyone's intetested in trying to do some dev stuff, look here. Its a good starting point.

It's a pretty neat tool. I've had this installed on my netbook to test out different apps. The Android OS is really neat.

Pretending to call my work, then putting them on hold. :D

Lol!

I love it. As far as I can tell from my own experience, iPhones are on the way out. Android FW just keeps getting cooler with every revision. And they work hard on it too.

Google for prez! Or is it Lougle? Lol!

Would be cool to have an Android Emulator for running the Android games on the PC and through GameEx.

not sure how effective that would be given the lower rez, but now that games are being upgraded for tablets not entirely out of the question. :)
