@Adultery Thanks for this theme and I hope you don't mind me making a few mods to it myself as I gave it a Hyperstyle Booster shot!!

Hope you like it :D

I don't mind at all! In fact it was Greatflash who gave us BlueBox in the first place. I'm actually happy you're getting some mileage from the PSDs! I include them in every project so the stuff I do can be easily blended into your own configs/ideas.

These look nice Krak! Good job! I'm actually surprised at how far you've come in such a short time. Looking forward to v3! LOL

Thanks!

Maybe someday I'll tackle creating my own theme. I've been really busy the last couple days on redesigning my GameEx interface and creating a new custom menu for it.

Yeah I just jumped on the custom menu bandwagon last week. Funny how something so simple can elevate the experience! I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner! Now I'm adding all kinds of stuff I normally wouldn't just so I can create a custom menu for it! Haha!

Ok, but you improved the theme a lot, including all the functionality a v4 theme can give you. Thank you Adultery from me too, I'm currently using your theme with full satisfaction.

One question: generally speaking, can PSD files be safely removed if you don't mind to modify the theme? Which other kind of files can be removed so that your theme folder is "clean" (always if you don't mind to change the graphics)?

Posted

You can remove PSD and XCF files. You can also delete background and foreground image files you do not need (they may be from custom menus that the author created for their own use or for systems you are not supporting in your own configuration). Same goes for logo files. To be honest, since I find myself continually tinkering and adjusting things, I usually keep the PSD and XCF files at least, and purge the custom or system backgrounds/foregrounds that I am not using or will not use.

Other stuff you can delete:

Controller layout PSDs if you don;t use a 360 controller

GameExtender images and PSD if you don't use GameExtender

Ok guys I've been working on modding this theme a bit more tonight and here is a snap of the redesigned background image for the 32X system. I'm gonna re-do all the themes and add more emulators to this as well when it's all said and done.

Whatchya all think so far?

It's gonna need a rename to YellowBox! LOL

Looks pimp Krak! Keep it up! What's the box in the corner for? Weather? May I suggest using an eliptical there to keep the edges rounded? Looks great!

Posted

Ok How's this one?

btw the yellow is only for 32x system as the other systems will be different colors. The theme will almost look like a whole new theme when it's all done.Yes that is where the weather goes! It does look better rounded than square thanks for the input ;)

Ahh that looks much better IMHO. :)

You can also delete BlueBox Theme V2 and use mine instead! LOL!

DRAC!!!! LOL!! Bwa ha ha ha!!!

LOL! You guys are very funny, really!!! But in fact I use both of your themes. I have 3 favourites: Black Glass (it's a v2 theme but I love the dark and hi-tech style), Enter the Dragon and BlueBox V2. Usually I rotate between them from time to time. So both of you can be satisfied for your work and for sharing it. I appreciate both themes very much!!!

And I can't wait to see your next work!

Oh, and thanks for the info about theme cleaning!

@ Krak: your theme is so promising, it will further improve the BlueBox v2. Keep up your work, and my compliments!

Cheers,

Alpha

Not sure how big the ellipse is for the weather but keep in mind that wherever you place it to account for the size of the temperature and the icon for the conditions (the icons measure 93 x 93). That being said, positioning of the Weather element via Theme Editor will be crucial so that you can "contain" the temp and icon within your ellipse. I am not 100% if this image scales depending upon the amount of space allotted for the element in Theme Editor or "just is."

Other than that - looking great!

@Draco the ellipse is perfect my friend ;) I Shifted the weather in the theme a tad. However with that said I may be changing it ... not sure yet.I just want to finish up all the emulators and see how it goes.

Nice to have a 3 day weekend so I can get some work done on it this weekend. Since were just chillin this holiday weekend ;)

The days will just fly by... I was hoping to have my latest HTPC theme finished before Saturday... will have to see how the weekend shapes up. I posted a sneak-peak at a few screens on the Social Club forum.

With the 3 day weekend here I will be spending alot of time designing and working on my new theme :D along with watching a bunch of college football games as well :P

Must be nice not having to work. :)

It does feel nice, but much deserved as I haven't had anytime off in awhile. This morning just sitting back and watching the Ohio State game as I'm a big Ohio State fan. Go Bucks!! Later will get back working on the theme. ;)

Hells ya! I live in Columbus Ohio. Just got back from the computer store (Micro Center), took 315 and it goes right past OSU stadium. I saw the crowd, and the blimp. Listening to the game on the radio, about 15 minutes into 1st period, then the last 5 in the 2nd on the way home. Akron sucks!
