mesk Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I redid my homemade hitbox last night, now it works with my PC & the 360,and its wireless! took apart a tekken 6 wireless fight stick (pack in with tekken 6,$150 @ release, now $40 on amazon) for the 360 sync, menu button and pcb's.Added a joystick for MAME,and it has hitbox buttons (if you do not know what a hitbox is,read about it HERE) Quote
Adultery Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Ahh now that's what I'm talkin bout! Love the xbox key. It's a sweet touch!/me envious Quote
hansolo77 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I'm not sure what the advantages are to a HitBox. I never even heard of it till today. A quick look at the website cured that, but it's not something I'd be particulary interested in, especially at that price. Anybody can map a joystick to buttons.. big deal. Quote
Adultery Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Screw buying one Han. The true beauty lies in making one yourself!I can totally see the advantage, especially with native Xbox/wireless connectivity. This is a really solid production IMHO, and the finishing touches pimp it out! Quote
Draco1962 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I can see quite a few advantages, especially when slugging it out with a friend in Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. Making one's own arcade, hitbox, or whatever is a source of pride in that you built something and made it your bitch! As for mapping joystick inputs, I seem to recall someone struggling a bit to make it so! Quote
mesk Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 LOL good one D-Man! The buttons give you alot more control in Street Fighter and MK.In SSF4AE,I use the shoryuken uppercut (Akuma\Ken) as a anti air that connects 100% of the time.By the 2nd round they arent jumping at all anymore Plus the buttons are cool for playing asteroids since thats how the arcade cab was.
