hansolo77
Hey guys. Need a quick tip. MESS64UI doesn't load anymore. I can run the program, and it displays the application in my taskbar. When I hover on it, the popup window (Windows 7 people know what I mean) shows the program window in the thumbnail. But I can't click on it to open it up. It's like it's having trouble rendering the UI for full screen. If I click it enough times, eventually Windows will crash the program saying it's not responding. So I need a little help. Is there a work around for this? I have all my MESS emulators configured in GameEx to use just the mess64.exe and not the mess64ui. That's solved the problem of the emulators not running. But I need to be able to access the UI because I need to enable the wait for VSync global option. Unless there's some kind of command line or ini I can enable. What version are you running? As far as a command-line, there is command-line options available. There is also a way to create a config as in MAME to make things even easier and the command-line more clean. To create the config do the following from command prompt:mess64.exe -ccThis will create a config called mess.ini which you can then edit. The command-line option for that would be (taken from the help file):MESS Command-line option-[no]waitvsyncWaits for the screen to draw before drawing the next frame (reduces tearing of graphics)-waitvsync meaning to wait and -nowaitvsync meaning not to wait. Draco1962
You should be able to use command line options with MESS64UI the same as MAMEUI64. Have you rebooted your PC after that occurs? You may want to post a copy of your configs/ini's from MESS and GameEx so that one of the guys can assist. Mesk is a MESSaholic so he may be able to help! hansolo77
Thanks Freq, I found the vsync option in the ini it created. Don't know whats going on with the UI. Used to work, before I started adding a bunch of roms to the emulators. OH well.

Used to work, before I started adding a bunch of roms to the emulators. OH well. The MESSUI.ini file probably got corrupted somehow or something is messed up on it. I would delete this file and see if it will run normally then. This will however erase your setting for MESSUI. I would backup this file before deleting to be safe. If that doesn't work then again, I'd have to test myself to see what's going on.
