[RESOLVED] MAME Vsync setting for TV monitor

Hi all,

I'm using mame within gameex for about 2 years now in a cabinet wich use Tv monitor with soft15kh

I've got some problems with MAME as i want to have vsync to avoid flickering screens.

MAME as some options to do this but no one seems to work very well.her is some examples :

With "enable audio sync" & "triple buffering" on-> no flickering but games are slow (neogeo games particulary)

With just "triple buffering" on -> no flickering but sounds stutter

With "auto skip frame" on & "enable audio sync" on -> no flickering, game are at normal speed, but sound is distorded...

I don't know wich settings works, i'm trying everything possible with different MAME version, MAMEXT, Vanilia, etc, without good result

I is really impossible until i have a REAL arcade monitor?

What are your settings guys??? How could i do that?

Check out CabMame it specifically addresses this problem

With newer MAME versions there can be problems with stuttering sound if you use vsync or tripplebuffer. Thats because of the emulation gets slowed down and there aren't enough sound samples generated.

It might be good to know what version of MAME you are running. There have been some significant changes with MAME since 0.142 was released.

Ok, im' running mame 0.143 now (tested vanilia, XT, Mame+ with same problem)

I don't have tested CabMAME

I'll try this one and give you the results

CabMAME resolved my problem
