earlier on while my cab was in sleep mode ( showing games randomly ) somebody questioned what was the game currently showing...is it possible for GameEx to display a little info about the game its showing in attract mode? Just the name and maybe the emulated system... hears a thought also what about an option that if you press a key it allows you play that game ?

If you enable MAME Bezel in the Attract / Screensaver settings (set to Yes), GameEx will display a bezel detailing the game and showing marquee and icon images at the bottom of the screen. This only applies to MAME, unfortunately.
