Getting closer to completion. As noted previously, I am redoing most of what I had from scratch - system logos and images, etc. I have pretty much completed the consoles, and about halfway through with the PC systems. Will start working on Handhelds next.

Here is another peek of my more current work...

Nice work Draco! Question since you said that you've redone most of your work from scratch... I've used your last full logos release pack as a starting point for my WOPR them logos, but I have to remove the mirrored part of the backgrounds by hand (about 70% complete)... For this set, do your XCF/PSD files have the actual logo parts separated from the backgrounds? or are the bricks merged in?

By the way... I love the Wii and Guncon images!

Wheres the tutorial. I looked at the theme editor and couldn't figure it out. I downloaded what I thought was a tutorial on theme editor. It was in the tutorials section but it was just a bunch of .exe that did nothing. Can we not always assume that people just somehow know how to do stuff by osmosis and have a real A-Z tutorial. Video tutorial would be nice. I really would love to learn how to make my own themes.

We'll be glad to help you out,. but as you are aware, there is no tutorial. Much of what we have learned is trial & error. You will have to pick up a few tools along the way - either Photoshop or its free alternative GIMP to do much of your editing (there are quite a few good forums for helping you to learn how to use them to create unique backgrounds and effects). The Theme Editor proper is more for object placement than a full-on skinning tool. To that end, this thread is more or less dedicated to showing our stuff and helping others learn as well. The best thing you can do is open the Default theme in Theme Editor so you can familiarize yourself with the various elements as they appear in GameEx, try manipulating them.

Has been a while since I last updated my work. Life has a way of getting in the way for good or bad. Once finished it will be one of the most comprehensive collections I have pieced together and hopefully worth the wait.

Thanks, Alpha! I have completed to date the Company & Product and Consoles logo packs (May add a few more to the console time and decent images permitting). I am roughly 3/4 finished with GameEx "core" and 1/4 finished with PC System logos.

Once I wrap those two up, I will begin work on the Handhelds logos.

Upon completion they will be available for download and each logo pack will contain Photoshop PSD and GIMP XCF files so that the end user can add color backgrounds and custom overlay effects to fit within their own themes or use some of the example overlay patterns I have created.

Have been working on a few theme ideas but nothing is seeming to gel as I would like. So I started working on software publisher and search category logos. Here are a few. Nothing flashy, but definitely adds to the search experience.
