I'm trying to use a Pop'n Music Controller to navigate through Pinball X, but there is a huge problem that makes it close to impossible for me to use the Frontend. Normally, when you hold down a key, the program treats it as a single button press for a second, then it does as if it's being held down or repeatedly pressed. This is something that doesn't happen with my Controller. If I just quickly and gently press a Button to scroll through the Table List, the whole list just suddenly moves about 3 or 4 Tables. Not only that, but when I press the Start button, instead of a menu showing up, the Table just starts instantly with no way for me to change the way the Tables are sorted. It's as if once I press the Start button, the frontend thinks that I'm rapidly mashing on the poor thing. Can anyone help me with fixing this control issue?

I've made the post, but like another question answered while I wait. I have hundreds of Tables with edited Titles, Years, Types and the like, and I don't want to have to fill it all in for the lists of each VP Version. Is there a way I can Carry Over the Playlists I made from an older version to a newer one? It would save me tons of time.

I don't really like the default Sounds that play when navigating menus, and I'd like to change them, at least if it's possible. Can anyone help me out with this? I basically want sound effects from the first 6 Megatouch games to play in the Pinball X Menus. Any files I should replace, or are there multiple ways to go around this? I'm not sure what else to add since I think it may be very simple and easy to do simple audio replacement.

Here are the some backglass images for a 2 monitor cabinet setup that I'm currently making. It's a slow process, but it's a start.

Hi All, Thought that I would post up a video of my latest project, up until now I've only used PinballX for Pinmame cabs but having bought an old Skillball cabinet with a vertical display I thought that GameeX would be the way to go. Here's a video of the complete project: ...and a few pictures too. I need to make the usual thanks, particularly to Jukedock for the controller and jukebox knowledge, Phil for making the bespoke plastics and Mike for making me the touchscreen. This time I managed to get through this by reading the forum and I didn't need to ask any questions - that's a tribute to the group. As for Tom's work and inspiration from posts by Draco and many others, well you all know that you are legends, thank you.

Greetings and salutations, I know it's been a minute since I've been on here, but I want to share this because I'm sure some of you might want to take the trip to see it. A pinball only arcade opened a few months ago just outside of Fort Wayne, Indiana. It's called Wizard's World. They're already in the process of expanding. I believe they have 30 tables at the moment with plans to expand to over 60. I've yet to go, but it looks awesome. If anyone finds themselves in the area give a shout out and I'd love to show you how bad I am at pinball and have a pint with you.

I've seen a lot of outdated post when researching the hardware requirements to build a VPin Machine. I enjoy Pinball and would like to build my own since machines are not cheap and hard to maintain. VPin will allow all layouts and not just 1. I've seen some really nice 3D looking games that I would like to explore. Any help with what PC requirements would be great. I'd like to run just about any layout without breaking the bank. I would just go buy top of the line everything but I think that would be over kill and hurt my pocket!!!

Hi guys, I have been fortunate enough to be able to purchase a pre-built 3 screen Pinball Cab - it has tables etc installed and runs through Pinball X but as a Techy I like to play - and I want to learn how to add/update tables etc. I have tried to add a few but cannot get them to work, either the screens dont work (mainly the DMD) or there are script errors when I run the table - I have all the LEDWIZ installed but again, nit quite sure how to set it up yet. I have created an account here to download media packs etc, but on the FTP it says my password is invalid, even though its the same password I use for this forum, and of course this works Any help, links, info etc would be greatly appreciated. The guy I bought it from has been very helpful but he is away until Sunday, and seems as tomorrow I am off work, I thought it would be good to spend a day sorting it Just an example, I updated Attack from Mars VPX 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 but it gave errors, so I changed it back to the 1.1.0 and now that gives script errors - I am hoping this is something simple to fix? Thanks in advance

Pinball FX 2 added the ability to launch tables individually from command line, which is great for people with cabinets. I'm trying to get it to work and can't figure out a working solution. Tables can be launched from command line as follows: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 226980 [TABLENAME] e.g "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 226980 Western - succesfully launches the Wild West Rampage table. I've tried creating my own setup by modifying the Visual Pinball emulator through the setup wizard, I've googled and I've searched the forums for solutions about how best to implement this with GameEx, but I haven't come across anything that's helped. Has someone been able to implement this correctly? My cabinet is an upright 2 player mame cab, and I'd prefer not using something exclusive for pinball sims like PinballX. Thoughts or advice? Thanks!

So I figured I would finally share my Bar-Cade with the rest of the Community. It has been a software nightmare (as you will see), because I wanted to build a cab and no one seemed to do it like I did. It is a work in progress (debating of what to do with the third monitor, it is just sitting on top of my backglass for now lol). I did this cab in 4 days at 10-12 hours a day. Weill on to the pics..... Post any questions and I will do my best to answer Started with this..... But took up to much room and the kids weren't really "into" it, so I figured I would downsize. I wanted an Arcade, but I also wanted Pinball.... So time to rebuild. I didn't have any tools except a jigsaw, drill, and sander. I also didn't draw anything out, had a picture in my mind and mocked it up as I went. A little patch work, and a backglass Coming together nicely I think. My Son and I laying the paint and clear coat on. Looking glossy . You can see I wanted a Hybrid cab. The Belly of the beast... Need to add some more pics later, but here is a pick with GameEx (all emulators and Mame run on playfield) and with PinballX I also have Kodi (xbmc) installed. Still, hashing some issues out with Marquee Magician, but getting there Thanks for taking the time to check it out I am TRYING to move up the Competition Leader Board, so today I build and installed a spinner. I, however, forgot that I was mediocre at best on Arkanoid lol.

Hi, I've uploaded some 300dpi flyer images courtesy of http://flyers.cdyn.com/ I've also added a handful of low-res flyers courtesy of http://www.arcade-museum.com/ This is basically just for the tables I have currently installed. When I finish my build, I'll come back around and upload some more as I install more tables if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Function Logger (PinballX Edition) - Version 1.0.1 Here's the usual plugin for development purposes. Basically like it's GameEx cousin, it logs the PinballX variables as they pass through the GameEx events. It's my ground floor entry into the plugin system for PinballX... I had to make a bunch of adjustments to the included template anyways, and I whipped this up in about an hour. Just extract the attached rar file to your PinballX installation folder and enable it in the plugins menu, you'll be good to go. Download it here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/14-function-logger-pinballx-edition/

I represent a group that is seriously looking into putting together a California Extreme style (though smaller) arcade & pinball convention in Phoenix, AZ. We already host an annual con (KoL Con) and we've been consulting with Dann Frank, one of the administrators of the Wild West Pinball Convention that took place back in the 90s, so we've got the chops to make this happen. Right now we're putting out feelers to see who'd be interested in attending, but more importantly who'd be willing to put up some of their pinball and/or arcade games for a weekend. Thanks, and spread the word!
