  7. Hi, I installed horseyhorsey's fine original table based on the classic, Evil Dead. It runs on Visual Pinball X using the P-ROC to VP framework instead of VPM. Install instructions here: https://bitbucket.org/horseyhorsey/pyprocgame-evildead/wiki/Home I Although it is a VP table, launching it cleanly requires a different procedure. Horseyhorsey wrote a launcher executable that automatically closes a C++ runtime window that normally comes up. This executable is found with the GUI & Launcher link here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=24375&p=275672 For my specific configuration, I used once again a different resolution for my DMD display in order to maintain the native aspect ratio for the DMD assets included with this table (550x300). I control this with Display Changer II. Like VP, I use antimicro to map the exit button on my VirtuaPin Plunger Kit controller. In other words, it is different enough that I went ahead and set up a separate system in PinballX.ini to handle just this table. Here's the script to generate playfield, backglass, and DMD videos. It's based on my capture script and uses ffmpeg. Again, the configuration for my system was different enough from VP that it was easier/faster just to code a separate program. There are not many P-ROC tables at this point and no expectation that each one will follow the same standards with regard to how it is launched or how the DMD will be displayed. But this will at least work for the one table: Wheel image that I obtained from this source and colorized https://fanart.tv/movie/109428/the-evil-dead/
  8. Hey guys, I made a custom high definition startup video for pinball x. Feel free to use it on your cabs. download is in the description on the YouTube video and the winrar pass is : dazzlaa regards.
  9. I was pulling out my hair wondering why my Pinball FX3 - Alien Isolation table was not displaying the backglass video, table video or wheel after upgrading to PinballX V2.68. I uninstalled/reinstalled and then restored a backup of my media and my database files and it still wouldn't display. I knew the media files themselves were not the issue. I finally tracked it down to the following: There was a colon ":" in the description of the game in the Pinball FX3.xml. When I removed the ":" all the media started working again. The colon has always been a part of the description in my setup so this appears to be due to the latest update.
  10. So I have been working vigorously to get my cabinet set up as completely as possible. I have been going through and removing duplicate tables and trying to make sure I have all media - wheel images, flyers, company logos. And the latter is where I'm suddenly having an issue. I decided that I wanted to be as thorough and exacting as possible, so instead of just having a single company logo for each manufacturer I have logos corresponding to the specific time period that the machine was created. I differentiate them by giving them unique names. The following are some examples. Bally Bally Manufacturing Company / Bally Manufacturing Corporation / Bally Midway Manufacturing Company / Bally Midway Manufacturing Company Gottlieb D. Gottlieb and Company (Gottlieb) / D. Gottlieb and Company, Columbia Pictures / D. Gottlieb and Company / Premier Technology (Gottlieb) Stern Stern Electronics, Incorporated / Stern Pinball, Incorporated / Stern Pinball Williams Williams Electronics Games, Incorporated / Williams Electronics Manufacturing Company / Williams Electronics, Incorporated This was working in my cabinet for a while but then out of the blue certain manufacturers would show me the "No Image" logo. This may have happened after a program update, but I'm not completely sure. However a computer that I had a a different location for testing and setup while away from the cabinet continued to display the images properly. That is until last night when I updated to PinballX 2.50. Now I'm having the same issue. The strange thing is that my old PinballX.ini which I saved previous to the last update doesn't really appear to have any different settings than the new one (at least not settings that should affect logo display). What's even stranger is that some of the logos still display fine. For instance the Bally and Gottlieb sets seem to all display, while the Stern and Williams don't. Because of this, I can't see a common thread that could be causing the problem. I originally thought that maybe the names were not unique enough, but that would seem to be a problem with the Bally and Gottlieb images if that were the case. I also thought maybe PinballX was having a problem with the commas in the names, but again, some of the Gottlieb files work fine with commas. When this first happened on the cabinet, I tried shortening the names to abbreviations. I tried SEI and SPI for Stern Electronics Incorporated and Stern Pinball Incorporated and the images still wouldn't display. I'd really like to get this resolved as I have put a lot of time into finding/making the unique company logos and researching to proper logo associated with each machine. I've included a screen shot of my Company Logos folder contents, my PinballX.ini file, and a few screen shot of my database files to show a few tables that are't showing the logos. Thanks, J PinballX.ini

  13. Hi Guys, Hopefully some of you are willing to shed some light on this. I've been trying to set things up with GameEx for a HTPC setup. But I just can't figure out how to organize my rom collections so it included only one, and the best possible, game per region. Excluding any japan or other oriental regions which language I can't read. What is the best way to do this? And with this get accompanying media from EmuMovies. For example, I started off with the No-Intro Super Nintendo collection. I have the "Nintendo - Super Nintendo Entertainment System (20141014-214745_CM)" rom set. From EmuMovies I have the "Nintendo SNES [Videos][480p][HyperList 1.1_No-Intro][EM 20150209)" 480p video snap set. I also have the "Super Nintendo [snaps][HyperList 1.1][EM 20110627]" set as well as the other artwork sets for SNES. So I got all the goodies but now what? In advance I tried the Auto Downloader with the full rom set but that didn't work out too well. I also read on the forums that it doesn't always work that well also. As for creating a one game per region (1G1R) list for the roms I've searched and searched. Came across RomSorter but don't know how it works. Don't know if it is the best way to go. Can anybody help out?

  15. Hello and good day to all! I'm having a bit of some trouble involving album art - I'm using WMP to tag the audio, and have updated all the album art within it. I've also got META data using GameEx. (when I tried to figure out how to fix this issue) For some reason, the playlist will play correctly, but the album art never changes - always stays on one album. I've tried deleting all the album art in the GameEx foulder, and re downloaded everything, but it did basically the same - showed a different album cover instead, but does not change when a new song starts playing. Any help will be greatly appricated, and thank you in advance for all your hard work so far!!
