I have a working AHK.exe (see spoiler) that I use to launch Kodi and 2 x irfanview slide shows onto separate screens. This works great when launched directly, but I would like to be able to get PBX to launch it for me. If I create an "other" system PBX and try and execute this file though, I can't seem to come up with working config. The best I've achieved in PBX launching the first line slideshow and then dropping back to the menu. Any pointers to a possible "starting point" would be appreciated. Cheers

All, The current version of the slingfront plugin for kodi is incompatible with the latest v17.0 Krypton which is about to drop (im running beta 7). Kodi quickly disables it when fired up Please can we get an updated version to keep this app alive and useful? Thanks

I have just installed KODI (formerly XBMC) as my Jukebox solution under PinballX, by adding it in the "other systems". Previous threads have shown XBMC installations, however they were a little difficult to follow for most, as special actions were required to send XBMC to the backglass. Additional mods where also required to present something other than the WIndoze desktop on the table screen. But with the later versions of Kodi, things aren't so hard. For instance, there is now a screen option in the menu to send KODI to the backglass. One click and it's done! There is also a menu option to blank other screens. This turns the playfield monitor to black. OK so nothing is happening there, but it's so much better than seeing the windoze destop. If you do want something on the playfield, it is possible (still with some work) to display visualisations there. But for me, I went the easy way and created a Jukebox slide show in irfanview. I saved this as an exe and I get PBX to launch it for me when it launches KODI as a table and I use PBX's 'launch after' to execute a .bat that kills the slide show when exiting the table. (KODI lives on it's own 'other system', so the 'lunch after' is actually operating after the system close). The slide show can contain as many images as you like or just the one. I went for 2 images. Both of the same Jukebox, but one with lights dull and the second with the lights bright. I set each image duration to .8 of a second and result is I have a Jukebox with flashing lights filling the table screen. Mapping keys is easy too, once the 'Key Mapping' add-on is installed in KODI. But whether you have enough buttons to be able to effectively navigate KODI will depend on your cab. My locking plate has a joystick and 4 buttons for MAME gameplay, so I have easy operation from the cab. But if you are short of buttons, KODI allows heaps of options for access control from keyboards, game station remotes etc. Better still, just bang KODI's remote control app on your phone and you will have full functionality, so all you really need the cab to do is open and close KODI for you. I hope this helps someone who is looking for a Jukebox solution. Cheers, Rusty. Oh btw... KODI is skinable and highly configurable. So it's very easy to make it suit your cab and look pretty.

Hi, I recently updated Kodi to last the release. The Game EX addon is not compatible anymore and being deactivated. Here is the Kodi log: NOTICE: ADDON: plugin.program.GameEx version 1 is incompatible However if I reactivate the extension Game EX launches correctly but I have to reenable the app each time Kodi is rebooted. Let's hope Kodi didn't ban all kind of exteriors exes we can launch from their apps.

Hi Gang I'm in the midst of setting up a new HTPC setup on Windows 10. On other machines I have used launch GameEx from Kodi and have been extremely pleased with the functionality. The installation wizard allows you to add GameEx to the Programs page in Kodi, which I have used in the past without issue. It's probably noteworthy that this is the first time I've attempted this under Windows 10, but during my installation process this function has been non-operational. It's also probably noteworthy to mention that this happening under Kodi v15.2 (Isengard) in combination with the GameEx 14.42 installer. I've re-ran the GameEx installer as Administrator a few times, but to no avail. I've also run both Kodi and GameEx itself as Administrator, but nothing has coerced my precious little GameEx launcher to appear in Kodi. Has anyone else had any issues with this on Windows 10 and Kodi 15.2? Has is worked for anyone, and were there any special steps involved? I can post any necessary supporting information, but my Kodi log makes no mention of GameEx. Likewise I know that Kodi plugin information is not logged to the GameEx log (of which I've observed a few in my time ) nor does it display in the GameEx.ini. I noticed that this issue was also reported a few months back, but there were no responses at that time (and at that point I hadn't encountered the issue myself ).
