  1. Oh sorry....English phrase I meant to say that I also run into this issue, also mainly due to MAME integration and it's one of the main things I wanted to see fixed for quite a while. I suspect it's a memory issue, as PinballX seems to load all these logos into memory on startup.
  2. Ok, I just assumed it wasn't a feature request because the menu item is already there. Just not working (for me and one other user at least)
  3. The only downside is...if you update a table to a newer version, you have to update it in two places. And remember that you put that table in two places.
  4. Hi Tom, Would you consider lifting (or expanding) the limit on the number of Company Logos PinballX will process. I can't remember exactly what the limit is set at at the moment, but there are at least 10 more logos I'd like to add for wheel image overlay purposes. Or is this a memory consideration? Thanks in advance!
  5. Carny,

Do you have an alternate download link for those cards (no FTP access) so I can try it with your versions?

Maybe there is something different in your approach.

You can view the cards "in-game" by going to the exit menu and choosing "Instructions". Viewing the flyers from this menu works by the way.

    Cheers,

    Antal

  6. Ehm no, just the ones that come with Media Pack downloads from VPForums etc And jpg/png images saved as swf files
  7. It seems rules/instruction cards are not displaying correctly (for me) when in-game. I can bring them up normally in the PinballX menu, but if I want to view them while playing a game - by going to the exit menu and selecting "Intructions" - nothing is displayed. I do hear the sound that normally plays when displaying the instruction card, though. So maybe they're actually displayed behind the backglass or something... I'm using swf instruction cards.
  8. That's awesome gStAv! Very curious what you've done with that... Good to hear parenthood is agreeing with you. Getting dangerously close to the "toddler puberty", though :0 BEWAAAAAARE (also +1 to the Arena by Premier request )
  9. I just use the buttons that are already on my PinCab... I let PinballX manage the exiting of MAME, so I don't need an extra button for that. Same button that exits PinballX, exits MAME as well. I don't actually use the pause and game menu (what do you mean by this one, the TAB menu?) in MAME, but I suppose I could use the "Flyer" button for that. I'll try and share my PinballX.ini file, so you can see how I've set it up... Those shifted keycombo's are actually handled by MAME and not the PinballX frontend. The only thing that PinballX will do from the background is check whether the exit emulator key is pressed and then open the exit menu. Opening MAME's tab menu or pause functionality is entirely up to MAME. If all else fails, you could set up an AutoHotkey script that monitors for the combinations you mentioned and then outputs a specific keystroke ("P" for instance). EDIT: I did actually use shifted key combinations, but that was handled by my iPAC board...
  10. I use PinballX as a MAME frontend in my PinCab (alongside Pinball tables obviously) and have it working really well. I have two lists: Horizontal games and vertical games. Maybe I can help you. What would you need the "shift" key function for?
  11. I think a lot of people could benefit from that. Having said that, I make my own MAME videos using a heavily altered version of CarnyPriest's ffmpeg autohotkey script. Because I use my own custom hlsl settings when playing MAME and I'd likt to say that reflected in the videos. It's a b#$@h to do them all, though, so I think your effort would be highly appreciated by the community.
  12. A new request: Could the limitation of number of Company Logos be stretched a bit? As I'm adding MAME stuff into my cab now, I'm running into the max number of logos that are taken into account by PinballX. Upping the limit by, say, another 10/15 would help me out. Or would this be too much of a RAM strain?
  13. Okay, I worked around this by using AutoHotkey scripts to chop off the file extensions and pass that on to the actual emulator exe's. Consider the request closed.
  14. That's a good point, thanks. I attached my PinballX.ini and log.txt As you can see I'm calling an AutoHotkey script "start.exe" that in turn calls another AutoHotkey script that starts the game. This construction is needed, because Demul needs the romname without file extension in it's command line call and PinballX doesn't have an option for passing that to the command line. The second script also does some other stuff like setup an ESC key and hiding the mouse pointer. As you can see in the log, PinballX throws up an error and crashes in the background while the game starts up correctly. The game then doesn't have any sound, strangely. The windows sound is still on, because I can hear the bleep when I disconnect an USB device for example. When I start the second script outside of PinballX, sound works fine. When I run "start.exe ikaruga" from a command line outside of PinballX, it works as well. This is the first script (start.ahk/exe) #NoEnvTable = %1%Run, C:\Demul\proxys\%Table%.exeWinWaitActive, DemulExitAppThis is the second script for the rom ikaruga (one script per game/rom) #NoEnvRun, C:\Demul\demul.exe -run=naomi -rom=ikarugaSleep 5000MouseMove 9999,9999,0$e::{Process, Close, demul.exeExitAppreturn}PinballX.ini log.txt
  15. Hey there, I'm adding arcade systems to my pinball cab to play vertical games on the the big tv screen. I'm running into a strange issue when trying to run the Demul emulator (for Sega Naomi). I'm starting games by running AutoHotkey scripts that in turn start the emulator. Everything is working perfectly. Stange this is, I'm getting no sound when starting from PinballX. When I use the exact same AutoHotkey scripts outside of PinballX, changing nothing, the sound is there. Anyone any idea why this would happen only when starting from PinballX?
  16. an alternative to [TABLEFILE] that doesn't include the file extension. Something like [TABLEFILENOEXT] I'm trying to run arcade emulators via PinballX and some of them require just the rom name without extension in their command line commands to run. (Demul for instance)
  17. Thanks man! Would you also happen to have one for the new FP original table Shootanza?
  18. Maybe you could share your method (in 10 easy steps) so people could alleviate the load a bit for you.
  19. I just rename the files from .png or .jpg to .swf. That usually does the trick.
  20. No problem, took me a while as well... Would be even better if this maximum was upped or removed.
