Thanks for the reply. I haven't dug into the update history enough yet to know how things have progressed. On the theme front, I would like to see a theme with a Discs of Tron snap shot for the background. I took a good screen of me playing it once and it makes a great one. It has that sense of depth but with boundaries you dont get with lanscape shots. And its DARK. I like dark. Maybe I will get some time to tinker with theme creating and learn how to really make GameEx crash a few times. :/

Alright. I guess I should tinker more before posting. I copied over an old GameEx install file. Downloaded the new version and the new theme versions worked correctly. Hope my wasted space helps someone.

Ok. New problem. I copied my GameEx folder to my new laptop and installed the latest version. The new laptop is a slightly upgraded version of my last one - a walmart hp (I know, I'm so ashamed...) I tried to run the theme Confluence Port and got a crash due to an object with the incorrect resolution. The resolution is set the same as the other pc on which the theme works perfectly. The graphics card is a slightly better version, but not by much. I tried recopying the Confluence Port theme folder and even redownloaded it. Still the same crash. I really like this theme due to the fact that I can use small windows for avi snap preview and title/cabinet shots and use the snap or boss snap for the large background (something about the large avi snap in the backgroundlog.txt just throws me off my lunch...). I will attach the error log. Any help will be appreciated. Btw, does anyone know if this same view is possible in other themes through the change view button? I haven't found one yet. Thanks!

Tom, I just unregistered my old laptop and gave it to my daughter and used the regedit files to register gameex on my new laptop. I donated again to get my daughter's laptop registered. Yeah, I could've used my old reg file, but I really like this program and don't mind supporting it a bit. Besides, I wanted to set up a new gamercard. I used the same paypal account and ,of course, wound up registering my old email again. Wasn't really thinking I guess. I need to set up this second pc on a new email. Can you help me out? Thanks! Thanks for the quick responses. I just got my gamer card. Here is the problem. A good time ago, maybe around 2006 or 2007, I found GameEx through your mame screensaver project. I donated and got the reg file at that time. I just got back into this about two weeks ago after a few years off and was not able to log in with my old account name or email. I still had the reg. file in my GameEX folder, so I wasn't too concerned. I created an account under "The Grump" for forum use. I cannot get a gamer card under that login. I did however just now get a gamercard with my old login and password. The website will not let me login with it though. Could you check it out for me?

Ever feel like you're talking to yourself? So, I found the box, checked it, made sure gameextender was not on, and then went to see myself on the Live page. No banner. I played a few games, left one running for a while, then checked it again. It doesn't seem to be sending any data to the website. Am I missing something simple?

You ever have one of those days? As soon as I posted, I just knew where the answer was. I have been launching the config utility from inside GameEx. For some reason, the "publish to server" checkbox is not present there. I went to the GameEx folder and ran the config there and presto! Now we will just have to see if it posts...

I was tinkering around with gameextender and decided to try the publish to server bit. In my config there is no publish to server button available. I have become fairly adept and moving through the options and changing bits here and there and I am pretty sure I am not missing it. Has it been disabled or moved somewhere else?

Hello Everyone, I would like to set up wolfmame in GameEx to record .inp files for upload to MARP (mame action replay page.) I am about to settle down and start tinkering with it, but was hoping someone already had it working and could help with the set up. I have been using gameex since 07 and have been away from it for about two years. Man does the emu world move forward quickly or what? I am about done with the seeminly never ending job of updating and am ready to get this working. Any help would be appreciated.
