  1. There are different options available. You can use GameEx Extender (i.e. a webbserver from gameex) and start GameExExtender Viewer (I think its called) on your second monitor. GameEx Extender can display image from one folder (for ex. "mame/marquee") or circle trough several including "statistics", witch I personally dont like. With GE extender you can also watch/sync marquee on another computer/tablet by a webbrowser to your local gameex ipaddress. There is a program called Marquee Magician that can "make" pages of picture/folders when launching mame. Only for "second screen" on same computer but worth checking out. You can even use "CpWizard" from headkazy to show marquee but its ofcourse more aimed at showing current games control panel. CpWizard is supposed to be built in somehow in GameEx Evolution. At the moment I use GameEx Extender but I dont like the restraint of it. Hopefully Tom will change how it work for GameEx Evolution. It has a lot of potiential.
  2. Cool. I too have too small cp for dedicated 4-way sticks but I find http://www.ultimarc.com/controls.html 4way/8way to be more than good. They really behave like a 4way when you transform them. Not to put you of, but the "innovation" ledmarquee has been made before. I have one myself. Although expensive you can have a ultrawide LCD panel made for your cabs dimensions or just boy some already made displays. It's really cool. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DTg7XHteBTE If you really pimp it out, you can use an iPad/tablett hooked up (or even engraved in cp) to display controls or "moves" for the current name game running.
  3. Hi everybody! As usual: Thanks for the best FE and a splendid forum! Now on to my problem. I recently installad Led-Wiz and RGB-buttons in my cabinet but I cant get it to work properly. I have configured all buttons and all keycodes&joycodes that mame uses right. In GameEx there is no problem, but when starting MAME all buttons doesn´t light up according to Colors.ini, instead it uses the information that you can find in configure/profiles/mame/GAMENAME. So I guess it does what it is suppose to. Where does this information (the profile mame list) come from? How/Can I delete it? Will LCDplugin then use Colors.ini? How does LCD/LED plugin read/prioritize information? Many thanks headkaze for an excellent plugin, but this is for me a bit confusing.
  4. Hi everybody again! I once more would like some feedback on this one. I have put it in feature request also, but no one has answered or commented it. It seams like a not to difficult thing to implement. All I want is a way to reach "Game information Screen" after selection a game, without have it on Always. For example by selecting game in mame list and pressing two button at the same time. As I said earlier "Show game information" says to work by pressing Alt+1 on gameex.net but how does it work? I have never get it to work. Yes I have show game screen off in config because I dont ALWAYS want to show it. Thanx anyway for probably the best frontend for only 25$!
  5. Hi everybody! I have a (n00b) question for mame and AHK. The thing I want to do is to remap and multiply input for my coins in mame (like this: 6::send 55555 ) But mame doesnt respond to this. I supposed it has something to do with the way input works in mame, or perhaps timming (like delay). I´ve searched the both forums, but may have missed some earlier post. Thkx for any help. Most people here are great! /Patrick
  6. Yes and no The sweet part of gameex (or Toms) implementation is that on the "game information screen" there are several more option. Add to favorite, recommended or similar games, games in same series and so on, and they are SELECTABLE! But for only information such as year and so, YES, CPWizard during pause in MAME would work.
  7. I have found a solution (and the reason for error). Solution : delete all game.ini files in folder mame/ini reason : the command -effect sharp seems to be outdated as of newer builds of mame. the same effect is applied by default (e.g. -effect none or nonparameter). Reason for me this happened was clrmame, which produced those inifiles (for example 1941.ini) with the effect sharp commando, even if I use the latest clrmame. Maybe I have som wrong option on in clrmame.
  8. Anyone?
  9. I recently uppgraded to gameex 10.05 (now .06) and mame 130 on my arcade. I have the same problem. But it is not gameex related because if I launch mame32ui I still have it. I have searched the internet and so far no success.
  10. Hi everybody! My topic description says almost everything but not all though... If I select the "show game information screen" in the config, gameex does exactly what is suppose to; after selection a game, the game information screen appears. BUT since many people besides me, use my cabinet I prefer to have this turned off. (they are not intrested in the information). So here comes my question; Can I reach the game information screen with the option turned off? The default controls (on gameex.net) says : "Show game information : ALT+1 or Player1 startbutton + player1 button2" This does not work (for me). Have I missunderstand something? And yes, I'm using default key + hotrod/slikstik activated Many thanks Patrik

    Mame rotation

Hi! I been using Gameex for over a year now, i think it is great! But I need some help now. Recently I reinstalled it and mame32 (0.116). But I have a problem with vertical games. When I run them in Mame32 they are displayed correct (or well rotated to look correct on my horizontal monitor). But when I launch them through Gameex they are not rotated and even the MameGUI (if I press tab) is in non-rotated orientation. I have tried to add -autoror in advancemame settings, but that does nothing. I know that I can rotate through the MameGUI, but thats a hundreds of game + the GUI wont rotate. Before I had none of this problem. How can I fix the problem? Thanks Patrik ---------EDIT------------------ I have found my problem in gameEx.cfg NoRotationRestrictions=False This was set to False and after change it to TRUE it works. Mame now rotates vertical games again. But where do I change this setting in the GameExConfig? Not a biggie, but still I cant find it... Thanx Tom and everybody. This is a great Frontend. /Patrik
  12. Hi, I updated my cab yesterday, havent done it since december. But now I cant change volume with Joystik#1+Button 2. I can still navigate the menus and everything. I can of course change to custominput, but the button2+joy1 works, but not navigating menus. (What am I doing wrong here?) Im using an X-gaming dualjoystick with joystick1 programmed to numberpad (8,6,2,4). Yes, I know that I can re-map everything hardware-wise. What have change? And why only this feature? Any idea? Thx Patrik
  13. Hi! Thanks for a great front-end. Im using it in my arcade cabinet and it is just kicking. I have one question/suggestion(?) though. Is it possible to change witch Menuitem comes first? I am using flatmenues and have a list with different MAME-sorting (like vertical, horizontal and so on). The MAME-categories are great (with spinner and trackball now also!!!) but.... What I want is to put "Most Played" first, then "Favorites" and so on. Is it possible? I cant really find any answers in the forum.
