Since interest in supporting me here seemed to end on 06/26, I have chosen to reinstall XP on my arcade PC and will wait until some of the latest GameEx bugs are worked out before proceeding again.

Actually, if I run the EXE I can start the app fine, but get the blank screen in Configuration. But when I right-click on the EXE and then run as Administrator, that's when I get the error below:

Tried resetting user permissions to the install folder in XP. And now, after all that, I am back to the original problem again: screen goes blank when I go into Configuration. Fresh install. No adjustments made, other than to apply my registration key to the Registry.

I was finally able to reinstall without getting "Access is denied" by deleting every reference to GameEx in the Registry, rebooting into Safe Mode and then running the install exe from there. Only installing in Safe Mode resolved the issue. Attempting reinstall after cleaning the Registry, but before booting into Safe Mode, failed...

Even tried disabling anti-virus, ran ccleaner, and rebooted again. Still no luck. Access is denied.

It's actually "Access is denied" when trying to run the install exe. I rebooted, but still getting the error... even after downloading 11.83 again today.

I'm not at home right now, but I downloaded 11.83 and tried earlier to reinstall over the existing installation but received a Permission error or something. If I wanted to, what config files can I save and then completely uninstall/reinstall? Or would I be better with this issue to just set up my config from scratch after I reinstall; just in case my configs have become corrupt or something?

In case anyone needs this: I was running the prior version to 11.82 (download and installed GameEx late last week), and am running Windows XP SP3.

Hate to say it, but can't get into "Configuration" now after updating to 11.83 - everything was working fine before, but now the screen goes blank. Ideas?
