  1. after a reinstall in basic mode, setting up nothing but mame, I installed it to the OS directory it works flawlessly for refference however, It appears I was never getting to the "exit" menu. I would hit the exit button and it would crash immediately from there. Thank you for your help. Problem Resolved
  2. I disabled sound after I saw the crashing along with changing a dozen other settings however, I re-enabled it to verify your post It is still crashing. I am going to do a complete uninstall, then reinstall and attempt again.
  3. that was the complete log, I agree it looked "empty" at the end. the log appears to change every time I run gameex. I have made MULTIPLE changes thinking maybe it was something in a setting giving it grief. I just ran and exited gameex in windows mode (same issue however) this is the error windows 7 reports Description: Stopped working Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: gameex.exe Problem Signature 02: 1.0.0.0 Problem Signature 03: 4f39be67 Problem Signature 04: GameEx Problem Signature 05: 1.0.0.0 Problem Signature 06: 4f39be67 Problem Signature 07: 26c Problem Signature 08: 6cd Problem Signature 09: System.TypeInitialization OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt and this is the last log taken by gameex 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Opening Configuration File 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: GameEx: Version 12.55: Starting Log 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Operating System Platform: Win32NT 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Operating System Name: Windows 7 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Operating System Version: 6.1.7600 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Aero running 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Initializing Vista/Windows 7 volume control 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-Core Processor, 2046MB 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: 2.71Ghz - 2 Cores or CPU's 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Running Randomize() 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Loading PlugIns 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Checking for applications to Launch On Startup 22:36:00.9 2/24/2012: Running Misc startup tasks 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Setting Menu types 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Getting Configuration Values 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Using Theme: Default - Media Center 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - Media Center 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Using Images from theme: Default - Media Center V1\MEDIA\ 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Initialising Video/MNG DLL's 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: GameEx will check for media insertion (may affect performance) 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Is Media Center running? 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Checking/Creating LCD Registry values 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Check Media Center Exit/Start Mode 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Media Center Mode 0 22:36:01.0 2/24/2012: Video previews on. 5. I've been using GameEx on my HTPC machine for a while now, and it works great.. but I started setting up gameEx on my basement machine just to kinda get the feel for it again for a friend of mine who will be running it for a mame cabinet. for some odd reason GameEx Crashes EVERY time I exit from the program This does not matter if I am using the mouse to exit or the ESC key or if I had ran an emulator yet or not. I saw in the pinned topic you would prefer to have the configuration set ups but this doesn't seem to be an emulator issue as they work fine. I run windows 7 32 bit Ultimate I have gameEx set up on a different drive from my os G: and am using all the standard paths that you have pre configured aside from changing mame32 to mame Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you - Khigh
  6. oddly, I cannot seem to make the music not play.... but I've only tried gameex once years ago. and just two or three days ago so im a noob to setting it up. I reinstalled before you posted about the file. and when I was resetting it up this morning I turned off visualizations and it seems to be working im content thank you - Kris High
  7. I have this exact same issue.... not sure what is going on here, it was working fine the first day. I run win7 64 bit edition if that means much. - Khigh
