  1. After a good bit of tinkering, it seems that I have come to resolution of my issue. For reasons that I do not completely understand, it appears as though the installation of PinballX did something to my system such that it relocated the content of the DMD window to a location on the screen that was not viewable in my setup. This only appears to have happened to these two games initially. The solution that I ultimately arrived at was to change the resolution of my DMD monitor from the default of 1024 x 768 to a resolution of 1280 x 1024. After the resolution change, I could see a tiny portion of the DMD content in the lower right corner of the screen. I spent the next bit of time adjusting the X,Y, Width, and Height settings in PinballX to get the content of the DMD mostly properly viewable within the window. It's not a perfect fit but, it is at least viewable which is a wholesale change from where I was before. The really odd thing about all of this is that, before I changed the resolution for the DMD monitor, all of the games were displaying their DMD content properly with the exception of Scarred Stiff and Big Bang Bar. After the resolution change, I was able to observe that all of my games DMD content had shifted away from where it was previously displayed.Additional oddity was that, in Visual Pinball I would observe the same behavior with all games except these two, working properly. I was under the impression that the PinballX setup would not alter my Visual Pinball settings. Maybe that was a bad impression? I'm not really satisfied that this issue is not completely understood by me. I'd really like to have a clear understanding of exactly what happened as well as the solution but, I guess I'll just have to settle for the solution to my particular situation at this point.
  2. As promised, here is my .ini and .log Also, I forgot to mention that the VPCabs logo does show up in the DMD window during gameplay on these two games. FWIW. Thanks in advance
  3. Hello all. I'm not sure what I have done wrong but, it appears that two games that I wish to play are not showing anything on my DMD screen. I used to see stuff there when playing with hyperpin and but now I do not even see it when playing directly in visual pinball for these specific games. I am unsure of what to do or how how to proceed. I'm using the latest version of pinballx from the homepage download link. Downloaded just a day or two ago. Visual Pinball 9.1. There are 3 screens in my setup with playfield on monitor1, BG on monitor 2, and DMD on monitor 3. The cabinet is a 2013 VPCabs mini-combo unit. I did try importing the DMD and REAL DMD from the pinballX gamelist manager and believe that all relevant files are similarly named. I have "File matching" turned "off" in the pinballX options. I'm not currently at the machine so, I have not yet uploaded my .ini and .log file but hope to reply to this message shortly with that information attached. Oh yeah, I guess it might help to tell you which games I'm having issue with. ScaredStiff and BigBangBar. Thanks for any guidance anyone might offer.
  4. FWIW, I just spent the afternoon fighting this issue. I realized, after careful inspection, that I had pointed pinballX at the wrong executable for visual pinball. I had accidentally pointed it at the visual pinball.9.2.1.exe that was the compressed download file for the visual pinball install file(s). After fixing this, I immediately got the proper screen size while playing an actual table. Lesson learned: Much frustration from user error during configuration. Pay attention to detail. Thank you for a nice front end and helpful forum!
  5. No worries mate. All you need to do is: From the Win7 desktop, Click the Windows Start button Within the search field, type CMD and hit enter A new command window will open (Looks like a DOS window. Little black window with white text) change to the directory where you have MAME installed. (typically you use the command cd directoryname * For example: cd \users Once in the Mame directory, type mame.exe -cc
  6. Thanks Mittens, that will work for my situation however; I still can't help but wonder if my situation were one where I actually wanted to keep both the English and Spanish version in my list (Call me Crazy!), if it wouldn't be helpful for GameEx to indicate which version/Rom Name was associated with the game name in the list? Of course, I couldn't even begin to offer the solution to how to do this so, feel free to just tell me to "hush up and enjoy what you get!
  7. Yep, the ignore rom option within the config was the answer here! Adding gauntlet to the list and then refreshing the game list within GameEx has resolved my issue. I am left with one trivial question though. Now that Gauntlet is showing up in the game list, there are 2 entries simply titled Gauntlet. That I see, there is no indication within GameEx of specifically what rom/version you will be choosing until after you have chosen the rom for play. Like I said, a rather trivial issue but, perhaps if enough folks were interested, this could be added to the gamelist so that you knew which rom/version you were thinking about picking prior to actually selecting it. Thanks to all who replied!
  8. I've got a bit of a perplexing situation on my hands and I figure maybe someone can set me towards the right direction. Due to the set of roms that I have for Mame, I am currently using the .134 version of Mame. I have compiled the .134 source (Downloaded from Mame site) using the 1.17 version of Headkaze's Mame Compiler. I have added no other .diff files and only the default options for the compiler. I have verified the rom set with ClrMamePRO and the .134 dat file from logix.net with no unexpected issues found with the rom set. I am using the most current version of GameEx. Now to my issue. Having just freshly run the update list command within GameEx, I get a list that includes, among all the other titles for my set, the one title I am specifically looking for which is Gauntlet. The problem is that when I fire up the game, GameEx advises me that it is now loading gauntletS and proceeds to only load the Spanish version of the game. I have tried everything I can think of including, re-downloading the Gauntlet (revision 14) rom as I believe this is the proper parent set, rebuilding the game list within GameEx multiple times, down-grading my Mame.exe to version .129 (I had this from my original build of my cabinet), and uninstalling and re-installing GameEx entirely. It just seems no matter what I do, the list shows GAUNTLET but the game loaded is GauntletS, the Spanish version. Sorry to be so long winded but, I'm just trying to include as much information as possible. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer an assist here.
  9. Thank you. Your answer was appropriate for my question. I don't suppose that it would hurt to have the answer to the other question posted here for others who may need the help. Out of interest alone, did I miss where this information was posted previously? If not, as a suggestion, perhaps it could be useful to add to the GameEx FAQ?
  10. Hello all. I'm new to GameEx and have just recently downloaded, installed, and registered. Having done a quick search here in the GameEx forums, I have not found an answer to my question. My question is, How do I add new stations to the Internet Radio section of GameEx? Thank you in advance for any assistance offered.
