  1. Ok, so I have a bunch of sega master system games, and I have more than one version of some of the games. So, I set merge sets to true, and heres what happens: Lets say I have 4 versions of Alex Kidd in Miracle World. In my games list, there are 4 identical entires for these games. When I click on any of these 4 entries, it shows me the same list of the 4 different versions of the game. I know this isn't normal, since I have merged sets in other systems and it doesn't do this. How can I fix this?
  2. Yep, issue resolved. It was indeed the rar format, so I zipped everything in 7z format. SSf.exe in command line, dameon tools set to launch before and after. Problem solved!
  3. Fixed! Just loaded discs from dameon instead.
  4. However, when I load the image in Dameon tools and load the game as a cd, it works fine. When I try to load the game as an iso through ePSXe, I get an error loading iso files. This only happens with disc images that have more than one bin track. So, I was hoping someone would know a way around this? Or maybe just tell me the command line to load the games straight from dameon tools as a disc.
  5. I got and error saying "cfile:cfile() error." and ssf crashes.
  6. Very interesting project! It's a shame the download links don't work anymore
  7. hmmm...well I open .rar files with 7zip, so shouldn't it work? or will I have to manually unzip all of these?

My Saturn games are in bin/cue format, contained in .rar files. If I manually unzip and play the games, they work. However, when I try and play through GameEx, Saturn boots into the bios screen and tells me the disc is not suitable for the system. So, I'm assuming that this is something going wrong with the unzipping portion. Perhaps the only thing unzipped is the cue file, and obviously that would be an unsuitable disc. Or, perhaps Dameon launches before the auto unzipper does its thing? I don't know...stumped again....
  9. Ok, fixed!! I went back to the setup wizard, deleted the trouble system emulators from the list, then added them again without re-downloading the emulators! woohoo! No I have to get back to configuring ssf
  10. I used the setup wizard to download and install some emulators. If you open the setup wizard and hit custom, you can just select certain aspects of the setup. So I picked download emulators and select emulators, and emulator settings. In the download emulators section, I switched out yabasue for ssf, then I clicked the sort button, and sorted by category. Since then, I've been having this problem. What other details can I provide?
  11. Yes, I tried verifying the setup through advanced setup, and everything checks out. I went to the ini files for the problem emulators, and everything checks out there as well. When I tried resorting the emulators, the same rom folders gave me trouble, they just picked up a different list. The trouble lists are saturn and game gear. Upon first sort mishap, GG roms disappeard, and saturn roms turned into GBA roms (which obviously weren't playable from that menu). It should be noted that the GBA list remains unaffected. Upon the second sort, Saturn roms turned into SNES roms, and GG turned into PSX roms. I have no idea whats happening here. If you think using a backup config would help, how do I access it?
  12. For some reason, GameEx won't see my Sega Saturn Roms. I go to the games list, and it says "NO GAMES FOUND." Then...when I exit out and go back to the list, it shows me my SNES roms!!! I think this happened after I used the setup wizard to resort my emulators in advanced config. But I have no idea how to fix this....HELP!
  13. Okk I've figured out the problem! DON'T turn on the internet adapter!! Apparently it's not finished and it causes the whole thing to crash. Also, in order to set up your memory cards, you have to format them. I haven't had any luck with the puru puru mem cards, so i'm using the logitech ones. Start the system without a disk and format the memory cards, then they'll be ready for use!
  14. Hey, sorry it's been awhile. I've been busy with finals, so I'm going to try and get to the bottom of this tonight. As I make progress, I'll keep everyone posted. If I figure out how to make it all work, I'll let you all know how EDIT: Ok well I've gotten nullDC to work, but I can't get it to load through GameEx. I'm not using Dameon tools either, but I don't know if that would have to change should I use iso's. Anyone Have any thoughts?
  15. Yeah, good call, but that didn't actually help.
  16. well according to this topic: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=8777 Note the ini file provided by JollyWest. No mention of dameon tools, or even the nullDC loader provided on GameEx's site. there is no need for a loader, it should just work without one. And my images load w/o dameon tools or anything of the like, so I don't see why that should be necessary. It's just that I have to do it through the emulator at the moment, as opposed to picking my game from the list in GameEx. As it appears now, it seems like I'll have to unpack my roms manually, which is a pain, but whatever. But I would like to get them to load automatically, at the very least, through GameEx.
  17. Ok, I've seen a thread or two about this, but I still can't seem to get the two to work together. I have tried the recommended settings, and when I select a game to play, I see a black screen for 1/2 a second and then I'm returned to the GameEx screen. I've got this in GameEx config: nullDC_Win32_Release-NoTrace.exe -config ImageReader:DefaultImage="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" In nullDC.cfg: ;; nullDC config file;; [imagereader] PatchRegion=0 LoadDefaultImage=1 LastImage=c:\game.gdi DefaultImage=defualt.gdi [nullDC] Dynarec.Enabled=1 Dynarec.DoConstantPropagation=1 Dynarec.UnderclockFpu=0 Dreamcast.Cable=3 Dreamcast.RTC=1909898283 Dreamcast.Region=1 Dreamcast.Broadcast=0 Emulator.AutoStart=1 Emulator.NoConsole=1 There's more in there, but I think this is the important stuff. With emulatorautostart and emulatornoconsole set to 1, I can't start nullDC at all, but if I set them to 0, I can start outside of GameEx. I think this is common, though. EDIT: I've heard that the nullDC loader is not necessary for this version of nullDC. Don't even know how to use it, but if it is indeed necessary, I'm clueless. Oh, and one more, seemingly unrelated issue. I have all my dreamcast images packed with pakkiso. Do I really have to unpack each and every one before I can play them? Or is there, perhaps, some way around this? I do have a registered version of GameEx, btw, but I'm pretty sure goodmerge doesn't help me here.
