  1. yep, appears to have just been an issue with divx
  2. I just tried it with VirtualBoyAdvance and it seems to work fine there. I had earlier tried it with nesticle, with no result... but it's possible that it's because I was using divx. I'll have to give nesticle a try again later with a different codec (techsmith worked with virtualboyadvance)
  3. Ok, problem solved. Added the *.zip* filter into the config so that these .sav files are irrelevant.
  4. ugh... it doesn't appear to happen with every game either... some of them do this, and some of them don't. But the ones that do, do it every time. Maybe there's a way for GameEx to ignore .sav files when it's looking to populate the menu?
  5. actually, I seem to have been wrong. this is happening directly from visualboyadvance.... whether I file->close, file->exit, or alt+F4, visualboyadvance is creating this .sav file for me :-/ with or without gameex
  6. Has anyone else come across this, and have any idea how to disable the automatic creation of .sav files when exiting back into GameEx from VisualBoyAdvance? I've tried to disable the game saves, mapped "GS" to a key that I know is not being pressed, set GameEx to run alt+f4 when exiting, changed the game save directory to a separate directory... but no matter what it seems that when I press escape to go back into GameEx, VisualBoyAdvance is creating a .sav file in my rom directory (this doesn't happen if I press escape when loading VisualBoyAdvance by itself. This is a problem as the next time I open GameEx, it is recognizing these .sav files as a game that it should attempt to run and so I have multiple entries for a game (only one of which will actually load the game).
  7. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I don't seem to be able to create the video previews. I select the option, and it starts the game no problem, but it doesn't seem to automatically exit the game, nor does it seem to record a video upon manually exiting the game. It there a key combination I'm supposed to hit to start/end the recording of the video? I can't seem to find any sort of instructions.
  8. After the update, every time I exit a rom, it forces me to a window that I can only close through the task manager (presumably due to it failing to exit the hideos). The window says: Object reference not set to an instance of an object I'm on Windows 7 Professional x64
