  1. Another (related) question -- when Arcade VGA is set to be used, does it use the resolutions provided in the game's INI file? Still trying to solve this one... thanks again.
  2. Here's an updated log file after opening Galaga through GameEx. The resolution is different when I open the game directly through Mame32 front end. Thanks. log.txt
  3. I haven't updated mame, no. Nothing's been updated which is why it was strange it changed. I can launch a game and repost the log if that's helpful. Thanks!
  4. Here are the files. Thanks guys. Rich GameEx.ini log.txt
  5. Something's gone wrong -- my resolutions used to be perfect in GameEx and now they're all messed up. Here's the weird part -- if I launch a game using MAME32, the resolutions are fine. However, through GameEx, they're not right. Going into the GameEx settings, it all looks correct. I have an ArcadeVGA card, and that is set to "yes" in the settings. Admittedly I'm out of practice with GameEx and all these settings, so it could be something obvious, but I can't figure out why it's changed, and why it looks different using a different front-end. Any help would be great! Thanks! Ricfh
  6. Great! Thank you.
  7. Hi, As a Mac person, I'm not too familiar with where files are kept in Windows. If I wanted to backup GameEx (menu settings, emulator settings, etc.) what files and folders would I need? Thanks for any help! Best, Rich
  8. Hi, I have a couple questions regarding customizing the keyboard: - Is there a way to change the key required to exit an emulator? For example, in visual boy advance, it wants control X instead of escape to exit the emulator. And the escape key toggles the menu bar. I tried swapping them in the advanced config editor, however, it does not allow you to remap the control keys. I am trying to figure out a way so that escape would send control X to the emulator, another key could be mapped to send escape. - Is there a way to change the key that sends you to the "Resume Game" screen during a game? Thanks! Rich
  9. Marquee Magician looks cool, but can it send the images to a web browser like Game Extender? I don't have a second monitor hooked up, I am watching on a networked computer.
  10. Okay, I figured out the Game Extender question. But I am still curious if there is any way to remap the key which sends you to the "resume game" screen. Speaking of Game Extender, it is very cool, but I would agree with others who have requested the ability to select what images get cycled through. There are times when I would definitely prefer to just have the marquee image on the screen. Thanks, Rich
  11. Hi, I have GameEx setup and it's working great. A couple issues have come up: Is there any way to change the key that sends you to the "resume game" screen during a game? I don't see it anywhere in the config menu. Also, I don't understand Gameex Extender at all. I see where to turn it on in the config menu, but how would you view it in a web browser? I don't see an explanation anywhere. Also, does it send live video or just screen shots to the web? Finally, my tab menu in MAME is no longer working. Is this an issue with GameEx, or Mame? Any ideas on how to get it working again? Thanks for any help! Rich
  12. What's the best way to create those files? I started to set favorites in Mame32 but couldn't find it's favorites file anywhere. Is there any software to create these .ini files? Thanks again, Rich
  13. Hi, New user here. So far I am loving GameEx! Question -- on the MAME list, there are many game lists, such as Vector games, MAWS Hall of Fame, etc. Is it possible for me to create my own? I know there is a "favorites" list on the main page. But I was hoping to create even more lists that could go here. I read elsewhere on the forum something about GameEx supporting MAME32 .ini favorites files. Is that what I need? If so, how would I create one? Thanks for any help! Rich
  14. You were correct. It was an issue with the video card. It is working correctly now. Thank you! Rich
  15. Hi Tom, I don't see anything called a quickres utility in the GameEx folder. Thanks, Rich
