  2. Very True!! Well I got the latest version to compile on my test machine at work, haha... Worked hard today. Going for 0.142 now because thats's what I have the ROM set for. and I do believe!!!
  3. Compiling in progress, I hope it works ..
  4. DOH!! Thanks again!!! This community is Awesome!!!
  5. I'll have to look into updating the set once I get past the compile. Still having trouble locating that no nag patch.
  6. Thanks for the response, I may have to look into that, I'm still having trouble locating the MAME no nag patch so I can attempt to compile this weekend. Where can I get that or am I just missing something on HK's site? Thanks!!!
  7. Reading up on it right now, the dilema is the ROM set I have is for 0.142. Does it make a big differance if I dont have a set that's checked against 143.u4? I'm not finding where to get the no nag patch, I see a link to hi score on HK's site Man I need my glasses.. ! . Thanks again for the replies! ajcl
  8. I enabled it in MAME.ini and it's still not bypassing the OK screen, guess it's compile time. skip_gameinfo 1 Thanks, ajcl
  9. Compiling it is then, What I dont understand is why Gameex by passes some games but others it gets stuck on the MAME nag, weird. ajcl
  10. Hi, I've been searching around the forums for a few days, I've found several topics regarding MAME nag, but most of them deal with having to re-complie to get rid if the nag screen. I've been a Supporter and user of Gameex since 2006 and my cab's been running fine without any nag screen from MAME. Previous version I was uising with the moset current version of Gameex was MAME32 0.106. Just recently I decided to upgrade everything as I just purchased light guns and upgraded hardware. Currently running Quad Core AMD - 4GB RAM 9800 vid card, Win7 64 bit. I have pretty much everything turned off as I only use gameex for MAME, I just went through and did a quick config to test out MAME before I started tweaking it. I've seen in the other posts as I mentioned it talks about re-compiling MAME to get past the nag screen. Is this the only option to get rid of the nag screen now, as I mentioned with the previous version of MAME32 and running on XP it went right through the MAME nag screen, now with the current version of MAME and most recent update from GAMEEX installed it just hangs on the MAME NAg until I type OK, moving the joystick has no affect, but they work in the games without any issues, they only way past is to type OK on a keyboard. This is also not apparent for all games only some. so, Do I need to recompile? The version of MAME that I want to use is actually 0.142 that is what my most recent set of ROM's is current for. Any tips, suggestions or maybe I just need a smack in the head!! This community is great, and alhtough I never post and have been around for a while, I kinda pride myself on being able to figure out things, I guess if re-compliing is what's gotta be done then I will. As I mentioned, everything was fine until I updated MAME to 0.142 and re-installed everything, it's doing the same with MAME 0.143 as well. It's possible that I'm so far behind on the MAME versions that re-compiling is the only option. Thanks!!! ajcl
  11. After further puttering around I found that this does the looping in the TAB of the ROM I'm using even without Gameex, I'm running windows 7 SP1, all updated and the most current version of DirectX I'm using the following for the Wheel drivers: Software Version: 5.10.127 Post Date: 08/30/2010 Platform: Windows 7 the profile I setup was just to get around the Gameex GUI with the wheel, just did some key mapping and such. I thought that was it, so I deleted the profile. But it's not, Is there a better wheel to use? or is there a way to wire the Turbo Outrun Wheel to the PC? if so can I get pointed in that direction, this Logitech thing is just getting me frustrated, I did use the wheel on a PC Driving game and it works fine. Maybe it's becuase this was originally a PS3 wheel, most of the info I read said it was fine for the PC and there are drivers avaliable for it. So, I dont know. I read through that post earlier before posting mine, it was helpful but I dont have a problem with the wheel not responding or not working in MAME/GAMEEX it just loops in eiher the Gameex GUI or the MAME ROM cfg "TAB" Maybe I just need to go with getting the Turbo Outrun wheel on the cab now wired up, if anything can be added to this great, but any info on getting that wired up would be cool as well. Thanks for the reply
  12. Hi, I searched and found some good info, but didnt find anything related to what I'm seeing. When I have the Logitech Driving Force GT USB "DFGT" connected and go in GAMEEX it just moves up and down the game list, Looping. If I try to use the mouse it moves then conitues in the loop. I've tried to setup profiles in DFGT profiler but still no help. What I've found is if I dont touch anything I can move around with the mouse and enter a game. But, when I try to bring up the gmae options via TAB it starts looping again and I have to exit the game and gameex and go back in again. I've dont nuermous things to try and get this to work without the logitech software with the software. adding a profile deleting the profile in logitech profiler It's driving me nuts. Is this not a good wheel to use with GAMEEX/MAME, any suggestions for a good wheel? I have a Turbo Outrun cab that's complete. Is there a best way to wire the Original wheel and pedals to the commputer? Any tips pointers would be great or suggestions for the best wheel/pedal combo to use besdises the DFGT. As I mentined I searched and found some good info, but nothing pertaining to what I'm seeing. Thanks!!!!
