I'm a member at EmuMovies. I was going to submit it over there since most of the original images came from there. I just wanted to know if I should post here as well as a "giving back" gesture for all the help this forum has provided.

I cleaned up some of the artwork for SEGA CD, I straightened the crooked ones and touched up the scratches. I also removed the inside areas. I only use 75 SEGA CDs, so I only did those. They are in png format, so the white spaces in the attached jpgs are actually empty. I can do more if anyone is as OCD as I am about their arcade, just let me know. The zip file is 25 MB, so Im not sure where to post it.

The OP stated the emulator works fine and loads his images when ran independently. It must be his config. I agree ePSXe runs just about every game I throw at it, and once configured, blends seamlessly with GamEx. I also make sure I test every game on my system independently with its emulator before implementing with GamEx. This makes it easier to troubleshoot if problems arise.

Theme Title: Basic Space Theme Theme Type: Cabinet Theme Version: V4 Theme Resolution: 1280 x 760 Theme Description: Space Backgrounds for all the major emulators Theme Features: Over 30 individual space backgrounds for emulators; each with it's own logo and picture representation. Most emulator images as well as common icons have been customized. Theme specific sounds have been included. X Box 360 Controller Layouts are included for 8 major emulators as well as the PSD file to alter or create more. Date Submitted: 04/24/2012 Download URL: http://www.gameex.co...ace%20Theme.zip Download Size: 147 MB Additional Notes: I made this with hopes of a theme that was easy to use, visually appealing and included an attention to the small details. Make sure to install the fonts from the folder to see the full theme in action.

I went back and replaced all of the large PNG with smaller, lo-res JPEGs. Some of the screens have been altered since the original posts. Not pictured in this thread, but completed and included in the theme are: Atari Jaguar, Coleco Vision, Intellivision, SEGA Master System, and SNK Neo-Geo

Great deal. I started with an X-Arcade and it is a solid product. It's a great way to test the waters of this hobby. Plus, GamEx is the most user friendly FE I could find (imo).

The theme is finished and uploaded. If anyone finds any errors or has ideas to tweak it, let me know and I will adjust the theme. I have replaced quite a few of the icons to make them suit my style. If I need to, I can upload them as a separate pack, let me know.

I think I will delete and replace the png files with smaller jpegs. That way I can have some wiggle room if I ever decide to make another theme or just post an upload.

Only about 20 to 30 minutes to re-setup the entire thing. I'm only running 13 emulators, so that helped. I've also been working on creating a theme of my own, so the time spent with that has increased my familiarity with GamEx.

I made the mistake of posting the png images as I made them. If I had changed them to jpg like I did with the controller layout from my last post, I would have plenty of room. My bad for not paying attention and not thinking far enough ahead. That being said, can anyone tell me if the upload limits are a one time amount, or do they reset periodically?

Thanks for the quick reply. The only thing I have left is the button images for forward, back, home, etc. I forgot to put these in because I only use a dedicated cab with joystick and button controls, no mouse. Here are a controller layouts. Thanks to Adultery for the 360 elements. It saved a ton of time not having to draw the buttons, D-Pad, Triggers and Sticks from scratch. For those systems I didn't create a layout, I included the original PSD in a folder within the theme.

I am nearly finished with this theme. I'm not sure how to post it since the file is 142MB with a couple more small items to go. This includes 8 X-Box 360 controller layouts and a PSD for each, revised icons and logos and 30 separate backgrounds for individual emulators. Can any moderators let me know how to submit it?

I gave up. The problem began occurring with other emulators, Atari was the second. I uninstalled and reinstalled GamEx. Now the problem is gone. It did re-occur when I started playing with map settings, but stopped again suddenly. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I see. At least I can stop pulling my hair out. I thought the MAP file would override the settings.

Thanks for the nicer cleaner list.

Now that the upgrade has helped the list problem with numbering, I created a map file for my playstation games. It worked perfectly.. the first time. The very next time I used GamEx the same problem returned. The games are not in the order of my map file. i.e. I place re-loaded directly under loaded in my map file. The list still puts it alphabetically under r. If I change a name of a game, that registers. The order simply won't stick to my map file. Edit: after trying a few things, it seems the order is being placed alphabetically by the "good" name side of the list. If I make the last entry: Zero Divide (USA)|AAA Zero Divide it will show up first on the list, even though it should still be last.

I will be putting this together as a full theme. I am going over the tutorials since I'm learning as I go. Here are handheld screens. Not ones for emulators I will ever use, but I will make them.

Feature & Enhancement Requests
djour replied to Tom Speirs's topic in FAQs, Guides, & Other Useful Information
The counter for lists of games includes most recently played and the space between the two. Is is possible to change this so the counter starts at the actual list of games? (I know I can subtract 6 from the total to get the actual number of games, but it would be nice for those of us with a little OCD) -

My games are listed in an order that is a bit off. Numbered games (sequels) are before the original. I.E. Bloody Roar II Bloody Roar or Alien 2 Alien 3 Alien I know this problem has been addressed before, but never with a conclusion. I am running windows 7. Those files list in the correct order in their files, but not in GamEx. I used a map file with the games in the proper order, yet GamEx still re-arranges them. At my wits end. Please help.

I've noticed this too. If you exit out of GamEx and start again, everything reverts to normal. Also, there is no reverse scroll in this view. To get to the change view again, you must cycle through the entire list. Not so bad with only a handful of SEGA Saturn games that I have, but tedious as can be with a full MAME list.
