https://virtual-pinball-spreadsheet.web.app/game/iNCMlR5mWl/ it uses skateball rom I'd like to add an ultradmd, it's usually a folder you put in tables like "tablename.ULTRAdmd" There is a table that uses it, like stranger thing (without pup pack) or Twin Peaks. I need to check the script of this table to see how's done. The default freezy for labyrinth is vintage standard led type with just score and credit and balls, so pretty useless.

Hello guys, I've seen (I think) Mike and Scutters have contributed in creating some flexdmd/ultradmd stuff over the years for vpx tables. I have one table I'd like to implement an ultradmd because the pup pack in it gives me problems. The table is Labyrinth and I think there's no dmd or ultradmd for it. How hard is to make one for this table? Maybe you can create one? Anyway I'd like to experiment and see if I can manage to make a mix with topper videos, fix background and ultradmd bar, can you give me links or guide to create an ultradmd and add script in the table? Solved everything, I have now 120 working tables (5 with pup packs). I use pup only in the original tables and there are few available that are spot on. The problem with Stranger Sthings SE was a forceback I messed up (pup18, the little monitor) and I had to off, then I messed up the original setup of the pup pack (for 2 screen like me it needs to be set all to off, after using the 2 screen option bat). I've figured out that the pinup player can be set all to off and then just experiment with the pup editor... The Wonka pup pack for example it's the only weird one, because it comes without pre setup and it just works (there is nothing configured in the editor, no playlists, no triggers, nothing) Now I have to set all the volumes for tables that start low... but this is another problem

I know that may be the wrong topic and forum but in vp universe I got no help at all and people usually reply with "use baller installer"... that's not helping at all. Maybe some of you has this table up and running and can help: I'm using 2 pc at the moment, one for testing tables and the other is my cab pc. I've updated to the latest pinup player 1.5 and registered the 64bit version. In my testing pc in video preferences all is set to max, table loads and I see backglass with video and scores and also the little tv monitor in playfield has video too. In my cab pc (iris plus intel graphic) the settings are customized (for smoother gameplay), table loads with same backglass but the little tv monitor has white and no video. Maybe I've forgotten to update pinup player? Or I need to change some video settings?

Thanks for all details, yeah I could try the hole system, even if I'm obsessed with table replicas so for old/vintage tables I'll keep the original led style. Yeah pinup player is ok, i have the folder on desktop. Goonies pup pack is "TheGoonies" but I see table generates "goonies" folder, it's the same? Anyway i'm not using videos for the moment...

Guys, I have now 100+ working VPX tables with their roms, all tested and selected to run in my cab with Pinballx. I didn't use baller installer, manually put all the latest files required and registered everything. So far tables are running and launch inside Pinballx. What I do : - Usually I launch vpx table, click F1 to choose flexdmd on/off (always set show dmd off), then move and resize dmd to my backglass, right click save for rom Is this enough to register table for Pinballx, I only need to save table when I change script right? At the moment I don't use pup videos but I'd like some for original tables, I've tried goonies, I can hear audio but no video playing... Elvira and the Party Monsters With this table i have a problem : no matter if i set flexdmd off or show, the visual dmd is always behind (already set true in device dmd.ini for dmd to show at top of other windows).

Yeah, in my case I have limited buttons, maybe the best solution is updating 2\3 buttons on the sides for extra control...

I have posted a request since I don't think it's still possible. I'd like to use a button combo for function like "quit emulator" (actually it's the only function I need for the combo along with maybe volume). Any chance at the moment?

I have another request if it's not already implemented (I don't think so...) Maximus Arcade, even if obsolete, has the double button press key mapping, this is very useful for "quit emulator" since in my pinball cab for example i have the quit button right under the plunger button. Also would be great for extending the mapping in the vpx emulator or anything else. I'd like to use for example button 1+button 2 in the settings menu. -
It's me, i was testing pinup popper to see how it works but man, it's so messy and complex, moreover if you don't follow all the passages or use baller installer chances that will not work are high, like in my case. I couldn't play vpx at all. I'll stick with pinballx, maybe it's not fast as they say about pinup popper but it's way easier and everything works great. Just realized that of course the overlay appears also in the inactive wheels... Back to my original request : -Customization of the info box panel with the possibility to change position, size, maybe color\transparency. Could be a plugin where you can use a custom png as background of the panel and where you can choose what elements to show (table name, company, year, system) -

This should work, I've always left keys mapping when setting up... but I had issue in the past also with maximus arcade+joytokey, usually it's only useful for amiga\atari st\scumm but those are extra emulators that you should use in a desktop situation (for example also dos box want a mouse always plugged in to work)

Didn't pay much attention to the square info box for the tables as I was more worried about a working machine, anyway... I know there is option to hide that panel but I think would be nice if we can customize it. Is it possible? I attach what I'd like to achieve, just system logo and year under the wheel image and leave the upper part blank. Thanks

I guess the best solution is get rid of Pinball Arcade and with some patience make a full vpx pinball cabinet, smoother, cleaner, better

Yeah in an ideal all vpx\fp pinball cabinet but i use it for example with amiga\scumm\atari st emulators in my other cab Now I'll try X360ce with pinball arcade, it seems that xinput keys are working with that but do you know what command line parameter to use to load and autostart tables for pinball arcade? I'm using free cam mod and i have \play [tablepath] [tablefile] It loads to the table but then there's the info window to skip before click start and i cannot bypass that without mouse

Thanks to sharkfinpin I've modified the nice t-arc underlay to suit my cabinet, added transparency inside the ball selection and made 2 bar version, one solid and one with transparency. Added also an alternative version for Visual Pinball system logo. Zip contains also the pinballx loading gif underlay_gold.zip

Just to clarify, I've been able to hide everything at windows log in (except username but i'm using "system loading") and put PinballX.bat in autorun. Now my question is, why the bat is there? Can I just use PinballX.exe link in the autorun folder? I'm running PinballX also as administrator. I'm on windows 11, I've tried manually shell the bat and using instant sheller, when I exit PinballX, apparently you lose some functionality, in my case taskbar and mouse are not working properly, so I'll stick with autorun. ------------------------------ Another problem I have is related with joytokey which I'm using with Pinball Arcade game. It seems that joytokey is interfering with PinballX if it's running and I need to manually close with an autoscript (planning to delete Pinball Arcade anyway). Have you had the same problem using joytokey or similar?

I've just overwritten the loading gif in the images folder, i have table images, it was working with the loading circle before, but I've switched the option in settings to try loading images or videos and now after resetting "use playfield images" i get black screen...

I've managed to use the same underlay in images folder. I've replaced the loading basic gif with one I've found here in the forums. In settings I've enabled load playfield images. Usually it should load the transparent loading gif along the playfield image but now I always get the black screen (which is the gif color option but it should only be active with loading folder right?) How I need to setup that gif to show with the playfield image? Thanks
