I am also very pleased with the service. The new version worked for me too!

That's exactly what I did. I downloaded it to make sure, and it works/unzips just fine into a log.txt Here it is again. And yes, I loaded the jukebox. Just do a search for "Error" in the logfile. I could read Raitsa's text just fine, that's why I pointed out log.zip

And here's my log file now I'm home. log.zip
  4. I would be very happy if there was support for UNC paths. I'm sure you talked about it briefly in a previous post, but I can't do a search for UNC so I don't remember whether this feature would be possible or not. I really hope it is!

Hmm, gets to Init Juke Playlist: 47 before crashing out.
  6. That is a sweet cabinet, and some sweet art. How did you paint it?
  7. Honestly, it doesn't sound like you got the key legitimately. Email Tom directly if you are having any problems installing it. His email address is on this page: http://tomspeirs.com/

well this sucks, but I can't run your modified gameex.exe file. The application generates an exception before it launches anything. downloaded the 7.53 version, but that didn't help either. I notice that the original GameEx.exe filesize is 804 KB, but the attached GameEx.exe is only 184 KB. That sounds fishy to me.

    CD Ripper?

Did you register your copy? That's one of the few features only available to full supporters... If you did, then I have no idea what's wrong with it :-P
  10. One feature I currently enjoy about GameEx that I don't want to see changed is the simplicity of the main screens. I don't need a whole bunch of complex options when all I want to do is select and play a movie or game with my friends. I would like editable folders, management tools, lists of games I don't have, etc... but I wouldn't want them cluttered around in the main menus. Keep it in a separate program like the Configuration, or Theme Editor.

No luck on my end either. The exact steps I took: Uninstalled 5.71 Deleted GameEx directory downloaded/installed 5.72 Launched Configuration Changed Jukeboxmode to File Audio Tags Changed Audio Files directory to C:\test, where there are 3 mp3 files and 1 flac file. Launched GameEx went to Jukebox, nothing found. deleted JukeboxData.dat and Jukeboxfiles.dat afterwards, launched again, still nothing found. When I check my log file, I still get this message 18:28:17.7 2/20/2006: Error accessing Windows Media Player, check you are running Version 9 orelse above 18:28:17.7 2/20/2006: Turning off Jukebox Let me know if I can help in any other way. I have XP/SP2, GameEx sound effects play when I launch it, I can launch WMP10 standalone just fine.

I won't be home for another 10 hours, but I'll test it as soon as I get back.

First off, thanks so much for this awesome program. Was randomly looking for a good MAME frontend after being out of the scene for a couple years, and a lucky search brought me to your system. Fantastic! I was even more surprised when it turned out to be a decent media front for movies and music and other emulators. I finally have something to put on my TV that does it all. I've been spending most of today getting things together with the system, reading older forum posts, figuring out the best settings for TV-out, attaching it to zsnes, making my joysticks work... anyway, my main current problem is I can't seem to get it to find my music. I was going to bypass the Windows Media Player settings so that I could have it get my mapped network drive which has all my roommates albums. But nothing is showing up! I'm trying to narrow down the problem, so right now under Audio Settings I have: JukeBox Mode: File Audio Tags Jukebox PlayList: (blank) Audio Files (If not Media Player):C:\test And I'm Currently running 5.71 my "C:\test" folder has a couple .flac, and a couple .mp3 files, but nothing shows up. I am checking the log file, and the suspicious part that pops up is: Error accessing Windows Media Player, check you are running Version 9 orelse above I looked through the forums, and couldn't find a similar error talked about before. I have Windows Media Player 10, but I thought I was bypassing that mode anyway based on my configuration settings. Any suggestions anybody? Thanks much!
