Hi, I've been using GameEx for a fair while now (registered) and continue to think it beats everything else out there as far as what I want to/can do with it I have been using the Windows 7 beta up until just recently and everything was fantastic (at least as good as when it was on XP) but I did notice that videos didn't seem to scale very well to my full HD TV - there would be noticeable I guess vertical pixel spacing between areas of different colour. I figure I need a screenshot to show this properly so please look at the 2 to see what I mean. One is taken from GameEx in fullscreen, the other is Window Media Player (which I am under the impression doesn't use ffdshow anymore, but a Microsoft-made library?). Now the other thing is new since I just moved on to the Windows 7 RC. The right hand side of certain videos (it seems to be more animated stuff) is jumping left and right by a little bit the whole time they are playing (the preview video doesn't exhibit this). It's not too bad in most cases but after a while it does cause strain on the eyes. I wanted to know if there was some way to force ffdshow processing of videos in GameEx? Otherwise if anybody else has maybe encountered these problems and knows of another way to fix them? I can see that ffdshow Audio is being used when I watch videos but the Video side of things isn't, which means I can't play around with decoding settings and all that which I would really like to be able to do. I do understand this is all part of using a new OS so I'm just after ideas, not saying it's broken or anything (GameEx is far from that ). As a side note these videos are generally .avi (Xvid I think) and .wmv, not DVDs or anything like that which I believe there is an option for. Any ideas are greatly appreciated GameEx Scaling: WMP Scaling:
