yes reinstalling ppjoy fixed the problem but I have no idea how it happened in the first place, very wierd. Thanks again for the help!

Wow I just uninstalled the ppjoy program and all is well again. Thats really wierd since they were working just fine for months. Thanks a ton, this problem was killing me!

This just randomly started happening about 4 months of operation. When opening gameex on my cabinet, the menu immediately goes to shutdown as if the down key is being held. I checked the wiring to make sure it was ok, and I even unplugged EVERYTHING except for the monitor and restarted to see if that would fix it. Same thing happens (I used a remote desktop to test it). I uninstalled and deleted all configurations for gameex and then reinstalled it. Same issue with a fresh install. This ONLY happens in gameex also. Opening any other program/game, no keys are stuck. I'm completely out of ideas ><. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well amazingly I just figured out the problem! I'll post it here incase anyone else is having the same problem. Apparently the culprit was frameskip enabled and/or vsync. Turning those off fixed all my problems!

I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find any solution to my problem. I have 2 identical cabinets both using the U-Trak trackball from ultimarc. The trackball functions perfectly fine in windows and in gameex but when I go into certain mame games it lags up the entire system. One example would be golden tee 2k, going into this game the trackball functions for about 3-4 seconds fine. Then after that the entire game lags, if i spin the trackball it can take anywhere from 20 to 30 seconds for anything to happen. When I push escape to exit the game it also takes 30-40 seconds to exit. This happens in about half of the trackball games. I've tried hitting tab to go into the controls and ive set every X and Y axis to the trackball but it doesnt help at all. I know its not my PC lagging because its a fairly speedy system: dual core e5200 @3.75ghz 2gb ram 9600GT using MameUI I've run out of ideas please help!
