@Tom Speirs For now I have a workaround - though not ideal, I am able to avoid PinballX from freezing up.
If I set PinballX Ingame\Pause to Pause\ Break and use Future Pinball's fixed Pause\ Break key thusly:
Via AHK Hotkey script, I ended up remapping my Pinball Wizard Controller's Pause key - to the Pause\Break key. Then I removed the entry in PinballX for Joystick button (7) for Pause altogether. Essentially turning this into a KeyPress-only action.
FP's Key setup menu:
Just an FYI: I also tested this with VPX and it does behave as expected (3 choices, Resume, Debug, Exit). This is a different key though VPX uses the Escape vs. FP's Pause\Break key.
With future pinball - you should be sent to an actual pause screen - with high scores displayed.
I am using a pinball wizard controller and when I am In-Game Pause button (Future Pinball) Throws back to PinballX. This should not occur, but rather remain paused in Future Pinball. If i I run future pinball outside of pinballx, I have no issues.
I am given the option to return to game or exit game. Whatever I select PinballX hangs at a black screen.
