Thanks for your help. its now working except that the games come up in the list as their rom names eg daytona93 rather than Daytona USA '93 and there is no artwork, text etc. Any thoughts on what i did wrong? Ive checked the paths

That is what I am asking - I need help setting it up as a stand alone emulator ( ie not in mame). where do i start? has anyone a config file?

Hi, I would like to add sega model 2 emulator to my list of emulators. I already have it set up within mame but that does not seem to work for all games ( for example i cannot get daytona games to appear on the mame list) can anyone help me with this? do i need a cfg?

Thanks for the help. I have copied gameex folder from "program files" into c:\emulators and i can run it from there fine without any admin rights. I think the problem must be due to gameex.exe writing to program files directory ( log file? ) Anyway - moving the folder has sorted all issues.

Hi, Hopefully this isnt a stupid question -i have searched and gone back several pages looking for my answer. I have latest version of gameex - just installed for first time - using vista If i run Gameex as a in user mode ( ie not administrator ) I do not get mame / emulators appearing on the menu. If i run "as administrator" then i see mame etc all works fine. Trouble is i also use glovepie (wii remotes) / ppjoy / other 3rd party apps. and for them to talk to gameex they also need to run as administator. this causes some problems. Why does Gameex need to run in administrator mode? has anyone else had this happen?
