  1. Has anyone come across any Sega Genesis Snaps and/or Box Scans? Thanks!
  2. Brilliant! I should have thought of that. The tool in Photoshop is in: [image > Adjustments > Replace Color] You then just use your sample tool to pick the pure black in the image and change it to whatever (I just changed it from [#000000] to [#000001] ) Thanks bkenobi!
  3. I'm not sure if this issue is arising with anybody, but when I was scanning my DVD covers and saving them under Photoshop as a folder.JPG, the image's black area would be rendered as the transparency. I was going to ask how to fix the issue here, but I tried one last thing and it seemed to work. What I did was change the Color Palette from a RGB Mode to CMYK Mode and it fixed the issue immediately. The filesize of the resulting image is greater than the RGB mode, but at least I'm not getting the transparency problem anymore. Again, if I'm the only one who was getting this problem, sorry for wasting a Topic, lol. Cheers
  4. I'm just browsing the features of GameEx here and I noticed the "Controls Path" field in Emulator Setup(4). I can't seem to get this to work though, or maybe it's just that I don't understand really what it's meant for. I thought this was an option to display an image right before the selected game is launched. The way I've got it set up is as follows: Under Emulator Setup(4) for my "Super Nintendo" selected emulator, under Controls Path I have "C:\Emulation\CONTROLS\SNES" Within that folder I have a 800x600 image named SNES.JPG (I've also tried calling it Super Nintendo.jpg) So far, I haven't gotten the image to show up at all when I launch a game under my SNES menu in GameEx. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? FIXED: Instead of specifying a folder in which to find the image, I specified the name of the image itself with the path. In other words, I have setup [Controls Path: C:\EMULATION\CONTROLS\snes.jpg]
  5. As discussed here: Disable Video Boxart Download I think an option to have the video BOXART_ automatically download or to be disabled would be helpful. I also like the way that the way BOXART is dealt with in the Emualtors. Where the Logo of the said Emulator is used as substitution if BOXART is not present. This would be a good alternative in the case of VIDEOs, where the "folder.png" could be used instead of downloading the BOXART, if that option is selected. I really love the way that the Media Library handles Music and folders. I think this would be absolutely awesome to have as an added option for Jukebox mode (alongside the two currently available [Media Player Library] and [File Audio Tags] ), and maybe with a filter option ... i.e. Only display *.mp3 files etc. The reason I use the Media Library method of browsing my music is that I have over 40 Gigs of ripped CDs, and they are all separated in alphabetical folders. It would be nice to be able to browse through them the way I do in the Media Library, but through the JukeBox mode Plus, when browsing through the Media Library, the folder.png and any other non-audio files are shown within the folder I'm viewing, so my friends are always like: "Hey douchebag, Ella Fitzgerald never had a song called Folder!?!" You can therefore understand my problem.
  6. Thanks for your replies bkenobi. I'm just using a script to rename the files for now. I did notice something neat about the way the Emulated Games handle this situation though. It seems if there is no BoxArt that matches the ROM name, it simply uses the associated Emulator logo. Which is neat. I think this would be a great feature for Videos. Where as opposed to trying to download the DVD cover, it opted to use the associated "folder.png" file.
  7. Well the way I'm doing it now, I just duplicate the box art image over and rename it accordingly, which is similar to what you're suggesting. The problem with that is the fact that I have to copy the same file for every episode that I have listed. For example, I have one season of a program that contains 23 episodes within it. If I leave it as is, GameEx downloads 23 different box arts that it believes is the correct one (which takes forever). So what I had to do is take the one Box Art image for the DVD Cover and duplicate it 23 times and rename them: "BOXART_Episode 1.jpg"; "BOXART_Episode 2.jpg" ...... "BOXART_Episode 23.jpg" It's aggrevating that I can't just disable the download altogether.
  8. I've noticed that when browsing a folder with videos, GameEx attempts to download the matching BoxArt automatically. This poses an issue with my setup, as I have video folders of TV Seasons with files named "Episode 1", "Episode 2" etc... so GameEx usually downloads StarWars or BattleStar Gallactica boxart, which gets pretty anoying. I noticed that they are placed in [...]GameEx/MEDIA/VIDEOS, but I haven't found a way to disable the automatic download of these files. Thanks
