I believe it will be a great benefit for everybody, specially because, as far as I could notice, FinalBurn is faster than Mame and even using an old and slow computer you still can have good game performance using it. FinalBurn Alpha page: http://fba.emuunlim.com/ I just found a Finalburn Alpha port called FinalBurn Evolution 3.02 (it's portuguese). I tested it yesterday with an old computer an AMD Duron 800Mhz with 512 Mb of Ram and the gameplay was really good. If someone wanna give it a go here it is: http://rapidshare.de/files/15293940/fbevo.zip.html or http://www.snk-neofighters.com/modules/wfd...d=45&lid=24 Being able to run FinalBurn would mean that GameEx could be also used with slower computers. As far as I can see this is a great benefit. There are some other features on FinalBurn. I will be testing it tonight and I post them here. -

Tom, it would be great!!! As Lingpand said Winkawaks also supports command line options. But for me it would be enough if only FinalBurn Alpha could be run through Game Ex. That, for sure, would be a hack of a gift for me. Thanks a lot for all you time and support. -
Lingpanda, unfortunately no progress so far, but I am not giving it up. As soon as I get it I'll be posting here. Thanks for your help.

Thanks headkaze! This is not the first time that you help me.

It would be great to have Winkawaks and Final Burn integrated into GameEx. I am trying to run them from GameEx since I discovered this amazing front end, but until today I have no luck making it. I remembered once I asked on the forum about it and Tom replyed asking me if I had an old PC. My Pc is pretty new and with decent hardware, but still I would like to run Winkawaks and Final Burn on my cabinet. They work better than Mame in my opinion. It would surely be great using them. Anyway, thanks for your time and attention. -
Lingpand, could you post both your GameEx and WinKawaks config files? Thanks so much man.

Changed my configuration (Do Wait fo Vsync = Do Wait and Reduce CPU Utilisation = 15) and I notice an average CPU usage of 12% to 20%. On the other hand, scrolling the menu was slower than before when it was consuming 100% of the CPU. So, is it worth to reduce CPU usage and also loose performance?

Man, that's an old wish of mine. To make Winkawaks and Final Burn Alpha run on GameEX. They both emulate CPS1, CPS2 and NeoGeo roms, but faster than Mame. Lingpanda, could you send me your winkawaks configuration, please? thanks!

I am using MagicEngine v1.0.0 PR 10. It's registered too. I can help you with it. Drop me a line at lord.iceman@gmail.com It's my MSN too, but I am usually offline. Cheers mate!

That's really a sweet idea. I also suffer the same problem here. Player 1 only has the ability to navigate properly through GameEX and it's really annoying when someone at player 2 hits a button or moves the joystick up, down, sending the list to the key it was pressed... Sorry for not helping with a solution, posted to keep the topic in the first page.

Yes my friend, you should use a command line for it to work. Here is my whole config for it. It's working as a most gorgeous filthy blonde, taking all her clothes off and screaming for you to possess her. Don't know if this has been requested but what about an option to filter Favorites by system too? Right now it's able to filter by year, category, manuf, etc. it would be good to enter favorites and them look for your favorite games from each emulator. I think it would be also great to completely separate Zinc from Mame. I would like to use a different rom path for Zinc. Thanks so much and congrats for such a great front end! -
Infared, what should it have in the file "SuperCD.bat"? Thanks man.

Downgraded to GameEX 5.45 and all the Emulators are working fine! Did not changed the configurations, just installed 5.45 over 5.46 and the emulators are appearing. So, maybe there's a problem with version 5.46. Or maybe is something here on my side, who knows....

cant get mame games to display in mame game list
Judgelord replied to Psychotomus's topic in General
You should go to GAMEEX Configuration and check all the paths in the MAME BASIC SETTINGS area. Be sure that rom path, mame path and mame.exe path are correct. Also, you can change ALLOW IMPERFECT GAMES to enable, VERIFY ROMS to disable, USE GAME FILTER disable, ONLY WORKING GAMES to disable. Save it, run GameEx and update MAME list. -
Headkaze, I launch GameEx, go to MAME list and everything is fine, do an update and all the icons are changed and messed up, right after the update, no need to quit gameexe, just look at the list and it's all wrong (related to the icons). That's what happened, but now I did 3 updates without happening it. Don't know why because I did not change a thing that would be related to it. ____________ At least it seems that someone else is suffering from the same problem as I am. DJLizard and I are having the same problem regarding to emulators not appearing, although they are configurated and you can launch emulators games when hitting "play a random game". I tryed the whole dawn to make 'em appear, but without any sucess, man I went to sleep 5 am. Now, after a good night of sleep I hope I can solve it. DJLizard, I am thinking in donwgrading to version 5.45, but before that I will give some more time on this, If I have any sucess I send you a message. Thanks!!

The mapping "issue" is gone for good. In fact it was not an issue but a lack of knowledge of mine, now it's working perfectly well. ____________________ But one odd thing is that I can't see my videogame emulators on GameEX, although I configurated 'em and when hitting play a random game some games are from the videogame emulators but they don't show on the start page. What am I doing wrong? I just went over and over the config file and found nothing wrong. I was using this very same emu configuration with GameEx 5.45 and they were working as a charm... Probably I hided something or forgot to enable an option here or there. Back to GameEx config file....

Hello there fellas! GameEx is acting strange when showing MAME icons. It shows the 10 first icons correctly, but just scroll down the list and it confuses a lot of icons, showing, for instance, Alien Vs Predator icon on the Ajax game, or 3 Wonders icon on 1941 game. The very fist time I updated the list everything was working great. I just updated the list twice again and now the icons are related to a wrong game. I am using MAMU's icon pack and GameEx 5.46 Strange thing, it's not happening anymore, but I had to re-install GameEx in order to have the icons back to normal. +++ +++ +++ +++ But one odd thing is that I can't see my videogame emulators on GameEX, although I configurated 'em and when hitting play a random game some games are from the videogame emulators but they don't show on the start page. Probably I hided something or forgot to enable an option here or there. Back to GameEx config file....
