  1. Bingo, you guys are awesome. My friend is going to love this for christmas. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season <3
  2. Hey everyone, everything is working flawless in my GameEx setup. I compiled the SOURCE and got rid of the nag screens and added high score support. The only thing that is not working is the trackball in games where it is utilized. I checked and made sure it is enabled in the GameEx advanced config and in MAME it is set to X-axis and Y-axis correctly through the config in MAME. . Does anyone have any ideas as to why it will not work, it moves the cursor in the GUI of GameEx but when a game loads it does nothing. Thanks in advance
  3. That is, rub it in .. thanks for the help
  4. oh boy, you are completely right headkaze, turned out I was trying to compile the binary and not the source I'm retarded.
  5. Alright I am going to give it another go. I will report back
  6. Hmph, i thought you had it there! I tried everything in the source folder, and everything in its own directory inside of the source folder but I keep getting the same thing. I am kind of at a loss here because I am not a newb when it comes to computers. Is there any way I can get a pre-compiled version of the binary??

I'm pretty sure this is happening because the resolution is way higher than these games were intended to play. I recommend browsing through some of the anti-aliasing settings and see if you can get some better results using that.
  8. Hi guys, I am almost ready to throw my system into my cabinet but I really want to compile my MAME so I will not have the nag screens and I also want to enable High Scores... I followed the compiler post guide exactly ( i am skipping the MameUI steps because I dont use that) and with every .diff I use I get the same errors. I have attached a screen shot and a log of the errors. If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening let me know. Thank you very much errors.txt
  9. I am compiling Mame ver 128 and I am pretty sure I have done everything correctly and followed the steps in the post but I keep getting these errors when patching the diff files. I am getting these types of errors throughout: -------------------------- File to patch: Skip this patch? [y] Skipping patch. 1 out of 1 hunk ignored can't find file to patch at input line 23003 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- |diff -Nru src-old/version.c src/version.c |--- src-old/version.c 2008-10-16 01:59:25.000000000 -0700 |+++ src/version.c 2008-10-23 02:15:58.000000000 -0700 -------------------------- File to patch: Skip this patch? 10. Disregard my last post, I read the instructions more carefully and I realized it can be done with Mame binay, I just have to skip the MameUI steps. My new question is however, I am compiling Mame ver 128 and I am pretty sure I have done everything correctly and followed the steps in the post but I keep getting these errors when patching the diff files. I am getting these types of errors throughout: -------------------------- File to patch: Skip this patch? [y] Skipping patch. 1 out of 1 hunk ignored can't find file to patch at input line 23003 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? 11. So I can patch my Mame binary even though I am not running MameUI?
  12. Where is here?? I think you forgot to add the link. :PThanks
  13. Alright, so that is working great. All the roms are now working within GameEX using the MAME binary. Now how do I patch it to use high scores and get rid of that annoying copyright screens where I have to hit right on my joystick?
  14. thanks for the fast response guys, I will try out the windows command and see how that goes for me
  15. Every time I try to load a Mame32 game in the latest version of GameEx it loads theg ame at the blue window with the controls and then just returns to the game menu in GameEx. Every game works when loading through the MameUI and directly into Mame32. M.A.M.E. v0.109 Windows XP SP2 Hardware Specifications AMD Sempron® LE-1150 Processor (256KB L2 Cache, 2.0GHz, 1600MHz), 1GB DDRII Memory, 80GB Hard Disk Drive, DVD-ROM/CD-RW Optical Drive, NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 Graphics, High-Definition Audio and I have attatched my gameex and log ini's as text documents Thanks in advance for any help.log.txt GameEx.txt
