Throttle Thumb

Hi, I have registered version of GameEX and I have been using it for MAME only. I recently set it up for SNES9x. Everything looks great, but when it is time to play the selected rom the screen goes black and then sends me back to the select rom screen. When I load SNES9x with out GameEX the roms play perfect. Does anyone have any idea of what I am doing wrong.
