    Nevermind all, Appears GameEX does not like Merged Sets, and or the 090 merged sets i was using all had incorrect filenames... CLRMame sorted and renamed, then set to split sets... refreshed gamelist... working fine. w00t

    so when your talking about clones, SF2 Champion Edition is the orignal and SF2 Hyper Fighting is a clone? same instance say ...for all the SF2 Red Wave roms , and Rainbow release... i didnt think these would be classed as clones..

    Heya, Just downloaded the latest revision of GameEX I have a full set of mame 090 images, however they are the ones that are dependant upon a main game and the variants only hold the required different roms. eg Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition is 'sf2ce' 4 odd mb and is the full romset, but Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting 'sf2t' is a variant and is only a few hundred Kb, . all tests ok via Mame from CMD but when i run an update in GAMEEX it will only detect the full images and not the variants. is there a filter option to include the variants? (note this is not related to clones i dont beleive).
