so i bumped it up to 2gb of ram (most it can handle) and still really slow. at this point i wish i had not uninstalled my previous version. anybody have previous version they can send me?
-
ram is cheap, so ill try that first and report back. just plan on running mame, no other emulators so well see.
-
ok, yea its pretty cheap so ill try that first and see if it helps, not sure if the system can go up to 4gb, if so ill do that
-
yea i am happy, now i need to figure out the lagging, its super slow. i only have 512 of ram, do you think if i go up to 2gb it will fix it? don't want to spend money on ram if it wont fix it
-
great news, i updated the video card driver and it works now! thanks so much null pointer and draco! now time for some fun
-
ok, ill try to replace the driver. where can i find information on the graphics card? i looked in the control panal and only saw it says legacy, no other information. thanks!
-
ah damn, i only play games up to like 95 so i wasn't having any issues with them. if anyone has a previous version of game ex from a few years ago, please let me know, i understand its not supported anymore, i just want to play my arcade machine again
-

so i put directx 9 on and downloaded that shark codec program, but have no clue how to use it. i did look up and i have a legacy video card, but not sure how to update my driver, no info when i hit properties.
-
yea but what codecs do i need?
-
ok, so the directx 11 i downloaded and installed wouldn't work then? i did put the sp3 because that what said was compatible with the new game ex. guess ill put on directx 9 then. still don't think it will work, wonder what changed from the old version to the new version
-
i am also having this issue. i was using an old version of game ex from a few years ago and it kept crashing, so i figured i would update it with the new version. so i installed it and now it won't boot up and has this error. i installed directx 11 and updated windows xp with service pack 3 (its an old compaq i am using) but still nothing. how do i mess around with the graphics or know which video codecs i need? sucks cause i love this program!
-
the rest of the sound is fine though, so ill try that then. thanks
-

i was able to get CCS64 running games through gameex, but the sound stinks. it is really scratchy and skips as well. what could be wrong?
-
i have been using the save feature when playing mame, comes in handy when playing a long game that i dont have time to finish. anyway, it has been working fine, but recently it wont let me load newly saved games. i get an error like "unable to load game due to anonymous timers". i am using mame .114. thanks
-
after i hit the insert coin button, how do i select a channel? i looked at the default keys and didnt see anything about a channel select button.

-
ok, that makes sense. i would like to use this one day, but i still have a few games i need to add. i thought it would just lauch gameex and i would be able to get out of it and back into windows. any idea how i would uninstall this?
-
so i installed this application: http://www.gameex.net/Community/InstantShe...73/Default.aspx it works great, but when if i cant exit gameex. if i do, the screen is all black. what is wrong? is there an option that i need to set?
