  1. Well, that might be beyond me. It sounds like a lot of work How would I change which version of GameEx is loaded simply with the joysticks and buttons? To switch which monitor the PC is plugged into, I'll simply be plugging in one VGA cable rather than the other (or even using a VGA switcher if I decide to do that). I guess for Soft15KHz to work I'll have to do some custom stuff to get both the interlaced and the non-interlaced.
  2. Very interesting. Well thanks for checking.
  3. Zombieing this thread because this only half works for me. When I do this, I get an explorer window, but my start menu, task bar, and desktop are all still missing. How do I temporarily bring all of these back when I simply want to install a new program or add something to GameEx? And is there a way to easily and temporarily get my mouse pointer back to normal for just a bit?
  4. Oh, okay. To be clear, I don't need these resolutions at the same time, I only need to be able to switch between them. I installed Soft15KHz with 15 and 31KHz options so now I don't have the 640x480 interlaced as an available resolution in quickres. Sometimes I will be using the PC in the horizontal cab and playing games in 640x480 non-interlaced, and sometimes I will be using the PC in the vertical cab and needing 640x480 interlaced for GameEx.
  5. I'm sure Windows won't allow me to by default, but I think quickres would be able to. I just need both of those resolutions to be available. Well, worst case scenario is either a) run in GameLauncher mode at 320x240 (don't want to do because it has it's own weird problems sometimes) or b ) go with 640x480 non-interlaced and use the 31khz monitor to boot into games, and then switch over to the 15khz monitor. Perhaps I should try to get into touch with SailorSat and ask him about this though. In the meantime I guess I'll just fiddle around with it.
  6. I am going to be connecting my PC to two different arcade monitors, one is capable of 15/31KHz, and the other only 15KHz. It is my understanding that Soft15Khz only allows for the 640x480 interlaced resolution if the 31KHz modes are not installed, but I need both. I need the interlaced res for the 15KHz monitor, and I will be playing PC games on the 15/31KHz monitor that run in 640x480. So how do I get both 640x480 interlaced and non-interlaced as available resolutions? Thank you! p.s. I want to run GameEx in 640x480 because I will be using the rotate feature since the 15KHz monitor is vertical and the other horizontal. Rotation isn't supported in any resolution lower than that.
  7. I am having trouble undoing Instant Sheller. The auto-undo didn't work for me, so I've manually returned my mouse pointer to normal, but I still don't have the system tray, which I need. How can I restore this manually?
  8. Awesome, I'll check it out. Thanks! Still having that problem with not being able to rotate with Ctrl+Tab in Game Launcher mode. Anyone have any ideas? I guess ctrl is mapped as one of the navigation buttons in this mode. Are the button mappings completely different in Game Launcher mode?
  9. Sorry to keep changing the focus here, but while I've got you here, it's great to get some answers. On the register page it says: "Real time key remapping for emulators and PC games, via an advanced configuration file. Along with key and mouse button blocking." as something that you get for registering, but I have no idea what this advanced configuration file is. How do I do this? This is so I don't need JoyToKey right? thanks!
  10. (Edit: Show Desktop thing did work for those games) In Game Launcher mode a new problem surfaced. I can't rotate the screen with Ctrl+Tab because Ctrl changes the list that is showing. ?
  11. Okay, I'll try game launcher mode. I had only gone out of that mode because the skin sucks (no offense). I suppose there's a way I can change that though right? That was actually my first thought, and it didn't work. Let me see if game launcher mode has any effect on that though.
  12. I guess since you can see the game being launched in there, this might be a good time to mention that when I try to launch "Rescue the Beagles" I can hear the game, but I only get a black screen (runs fine when launched otherwise). The same thing happens to "Burn the Trash" and "Clean Asia." Any ideas there? edit: I just noticed that it says "23:41:44.7 8/27/2008: Display is running at: 640x288 32bit color, 60hz" which is weird because I just double checked and I have it set up to run 320x240 (I'm running this on an LCD monitor for now, so I can't tell if it's out of range for a 15KHz monitor just yet).
  13. Okay, seeing this in the log: 23:42:34.2 8/27/2008: Error: GameEx cannot rotate the display at a resolution less than 640 X 480 But I was doing this before. And I have to run it at 320x240 for my 15KHz monitor.
  14. I just registered GameEx and didn't change anything else, but now Ctrl+Tab no longer rotates the screen to 90 degrees. This worked fine (except for the nag text of course) before I registered. Any idea what is going on here?
