  1. Hi all, I wonder if anyone could help me understand this, I don't know the first thing about compiling! I'm using this mainly in the hope of removing the annoying message prompts in mame. I've followed the instructions, using the latest mame source and hi_125.diff through to hi_125u7.diff. When I pressed go, compiling seems to be going on and it takes a while. At the end I get a bunch of video errors, but they appear after the process says it is 'finished'. Also, only the first patch file seems to anything; all the others produce messages about 'skipping' the patch. After all this, I can't find the newly compiled mame exe in C:\MinGW\source\Mame0125. Am i missing a step? Sorry for my ignorance! Thanks for any help in advance, Fen
  2. Solved. Would you believe it was all because of my renaming of HideOS? So entirely my fault. Named it back, everything working absolutely fine. I guess GameEx was waiting for it or something...who knows! Anyway, thanks to everyone!! Didn't think it would get sorted in such a short time. Cheers, Fen
  3. 'Show Desktop' is already set to 'Yes' for all emulators: I had problems with Zinc before because of this. In the end, for Zinc I had to rename 'HideOS.exe' to prevent it from running at all, as GameEx seemed to be ignoring this setting. Could this have anything to do with it? Thanks for all the quick replies! I've attached the GameEx.ini file if that'll help. GameEx.rar
  4. No, Alt+F4 doesn't work either; game exits, GameEx remains a running process. Interestingly though, Alt+F4 put ePSXe into the same position: game disappears, but continues running in the background. The other emulators just exit though. Other thoughts? I'm very confused!
  5. That did occur to me just after I posted actually! Does nothing though unfortunately, GameEx.exe still remains running in the background but will not reappear. Thanks for the suggestion though! Anything else I could try? Why might this be occurring?
  6. Hi all, I've just paid for GameEx, and I'm really pleased; this is my first attempt at building a cab, and it's the perfect frontend for it! Everything seems to working fine with one exception: when I use an emulator such as Project64, ZSnes, Jnes or Fusion, GameEx does not return once I have exited the emulator. If I look in the task manager at the processes running, GameEx.exe is still going but just doesn't return to focus. This doesn't happen with Mame, Zinc, or the Model 2 Emulator. All these problem emulators are set to 'Map Keys: Yes' and 'Advanced Config: [Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close). Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance, Fen
